SPSU to start with ‘Heritage Club’ with SPIC MACAY

On August 13, 2024, Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur and SPIC MACAY
signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to create a Heritage Club at the
university. Aligning with the National Education Policy-2020, which seeks to
transform India's education system and foster a deep appreciation of Indian
Knowledge Systems, Values, Art, and Culture, the creation of Heritage Club aims to
enhance holistic awareness among students and faculty about India’s rich heritage.
Prof. (Dr.) Prithvi Yadav, the Honourable Vice Chancellor, SPSU, highlighted the importance of this collaboration in enriching the educational experience and fostering a deeper appreciation of traditional arts and culture among the university community. Mr. J P Bhatnagar, the National Executive Member and Chairperson SPIC MACAY, Chittorgarh Chapter was also present during the signing of MoU.
The Heritage Club will provide a dynamic platform for students, faculty, and non- teaching staff to engage with and promote India's rich cultural heritage through SPIC MACAY’s various programs and events. Under this partnership, all students, faculty, and non-teaching staff at SPSU are encouraged to actively participate in SPIC MACAY events and activities.
The MoU signing was also witnessed by Dr. UR Singh, Registrar, Lt. (Dr.) DS Chouhan, Deputy Dean Student Welfare, Lt. Col. Neeraj Kumar, Campus Director, and Mr. D K Gupta, Udaipur Chapter Coordinator.
