Smart India Hackathon Primary 2023 at SPSU

Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur under the visionary leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Padmakali Banerjee, Vice Chancellor and President organized Smart India Hackathon Primary 2023. Smart India Hackathon (SIH) is organized across the country under the aegis of Ministry of Education, Innovation Cell, Government of India and AICTE. It is the world’s largest open platform for the innovators or entrepreneurs of tomorrow to start today towards a smarter India. A total of 27 teams participated in this Smart India Hackathon and deliberated on the software and hardware-based problem statement. Students presented technical solutions to the basic problems of the Ministry of Power, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Ministry of Law and Justice, Ministry of Involvement of the Government of India. Jury member Mr. Punit Sharma, Chief Planning Officer, Udaipur, Government of Rajasthan, Dr. Yogesh Kumar Meena, IIT, Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Mr. Jayash Sharma, Director and Co-Founder, I-Diary IT Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Noida evaluated the students’ projects and gave suggestions for its improvement. Col. (Dr.) Sanjeev Tomar, the Pro President, emphasized the significant role played by students from technical institutes across India in the Smart India Hackathon. Dr. Bhavana Adhikari, Dean-Academics, urged students to become problem solvers in life. Dr. Arun Kumar, Dean of Engineering, encouraged students to connect real-world issues with innovative engineering concepts. The event received guidance from Prof. (Dr.) Darpan Anand, Associate Dean of Engineering and Head, CSE, along with Mr. Harsh Bansal. The program concluded with vote of thanks by Dr. Kamal Kant Hiran. The student’s participation in the programme was commendable.
