Magnitude Club organized a thought-provoking debate competition on the topic “Genetic Modifications of Plants and Human Beings is Necessary for the Betterment of the World at Large.”

A total of eight participants enthusiastically engaged in the debate competition, with four speakers supporting the motion and four speakers opposing it. The participants showcased remarkable skills and a deep understanding of the topic. All participants delivered impressive performances, showcasing their well-researched arguments, remarkable oratory skills and passionate discourse.

This competition provided a platform for thoughtful discourse on the topic of genetic modifications and highlighted the importance of such discussions in shaping the future of science and ethics. The event left a lasting impression, fostering intellectual growth and encouraging critical thinking among the participants and attendees. It was a testament to the power of debate in generating constructive dialogue on complex issues that impact our world.

The esteemed judge for the competition was Professor Dr. Shibani Banerjee, a national-level debater. She provided insightful feedback on the performances, commending the participants for their dedication and depth of knowledge on the topic. Her comments were instrumental in encouraging the debaters to improve their skills further.

T. Sathvik Reddy secured the 1st position and Navaneetha Reddy won the 2nd position

The faculty advisor Prof. (Dr.) Monika Anand expressed her gratitude to Prof. (Dr.) Shibani Banerjee and the organising team. The event was a resounding success, thanks to the outstanding performances of the participants, the insightful remarks from the judge, and the dedication of the organizing team led by Prof. (Dr.) Monika Anand.
