To embolden the awareness about the importance of energy efficiency and conservation the Centre of Excellence, Centre of Sustainable Energy Studies (CSES) Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur organised an exhibition on Renewable Energy Generation devices and Energy Saving Equipment on National Energy Conservation Day, December 14, 2022. CSES organised this exhibition in association with M/s RB Technology and Energy Solution, Udaipur. The exhibition was inaugurated by honourable President & Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Padmakali Banerjee. The guests of honour for the event were Chairman Institute of Engineers Udaipur Local Centre Mr. C.P. Jain and Honorary Secretary of IE Er. Pursottam Paliwal . The sprightly event was presided over by Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Sanjiv Tomar, along with Registrar Dr. Sanjay Mishra, Dr. Sadananda Prusty, Dr. Arun Kumar, Mr. Siddanth Debasish, Principal, Boston Consulting Group, all Head of Departments and Faculty members.  The students of the University participated actively in the ceremony.

Prof. (Dr.) Padmakali Banerjee in her inaugural address celebrated the legacy of JK Cement Ltd. for providing affordable education to all and synergising in creating an energy-efficient and eco-friendly campus. She remarked that renewable energy is the future and SPSU is determined to work towards sustainable energy & sustainable development. Emphasizing on the need for energy conservation she urged the budding engineers, technocrats and management professionals to protect the environment by incorporating energy-saving and sustainable resources in their day to day lives. The guest of honour Er. C.P. Jain shared his views on importance of renewable energy & Industry-academia collaboration towards better sustainable future.

 As a part of its awareness campaign a slogan writing competition was organised by the Centre. Mr. Syed Afroz Hussain, I semester Mining Engineering & Mr. Survendra Nayak, I semester Computer Science & Engineering were awarded certificates for securing First & Second position respectively in Slogan writing competition on Energy Conservation. The event was coordinated by Dr. Ritesh Tirole, Coordinator, CSES & Mr. Aman Jain.
