Elements- The Writers’ Club organised ‘Impressions- Inspirations from Great Leaders’ on September 27, 2023. This engaging activity focused on nurturing and showcasing the hidden talents of our students. It aimed to explore their creative thinking abilities, refine their public speaking skills and oratory. A total of eight students enthusiastically participated in this competition, each of them bringing their unique perspectives and inspirations to the forefront. The event provided a platform for these young minds to articulate their thoughts, drawing inspiration from the remarkable lives and leadership qualities of great leaders from history and contemporary times. Impressions- highlighted that our youth are not only the leaders of tomorrow but also the voices of today, capable of making a meaningful impact on the world. Soft Skills trainer and expert Dr. Monika Anand, Head, Dept of English and Deputy Dean student affairs, judged the event. Dr. Anand brought her wealth of expertise to the judging panel and played a pivotal role in evaluating the participants’ performances. Her valuable insights and constructive feedback were highly appreciated by all. Dr. Anand not only acknowledged the dedication and hard work put in by the students but also offered invaluable tips and guidance on how they could enhance their communication skills further. Additionally, Dr. Shibani Banerjee, the faculty advisor of the event, commended the remarkable efforts of the students. Dr. Banerjee also encouraged the students to overcome their inhibitions and fears, underlining that personal growth often comes from pushing one’s boundaries and embracing new challenges. The presence and wisdom shared by Dr. Monika Anand and Dr. Shibani Banerjee undoubtedly added immense value to the event. Lavanya Agarwal, B.tech III year and Anjali Jain, MBA I year won the first and second position respectively. The winners were awarded cash prizes.
