To provide valuable insights about the government’s fiscal policies, a panel discussion “Budget Pe Charcha- Panel Discussion on Union Budget” on March 22, 2023 was organized by the School of Management, Sir Padampat Singhania University under the visionary guidance and leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Padmakali Banerjee, Honourable President and Vice – Chancellor. The panel comprised of eminent personalities from industry and academia as Prof. Deepak Tandon, Professor, International Management Institute, New Delhi, Prof. Gireesh Chandra Tripathi, Deputy Director General (Academics) NTPC School of Business, Mr. Kaustubh Bhattacharya, IT, PR Consultant, Advaiya Solutions Inc, Mr. Sanjay Chechani, Wealth Manager & Director, Samriddhi Capitals, Dr. Devendra Shrimali, Department of Business Administration, MLSU, Ms. Ranu Nagori, Faculty of Management Studies, MLSU. Prof.(Dr.) Sadananda Prusty, Dean-SoM, Prof. (Dr.) Bhavana Adhikari Dean-Academics, Prof.(Dr.) Vinod Patidar Dean-Research, Prof.(Dr.) Arun Kumar, Dean-SoE, welcomed the distinguished guests.

Prof. (Dr.) Sadananda Prusty, Dean SoM in the opening remarks highlighted Amrit Kaal, Saptarshi – the 7 Priorities of Union Budget and Fiscal Deficit of government. The panel deliberated on infrastructure, green technology, old and new tax regimes, dairy technology, capital expenditure, investment schemes and perspectives on the government’s fiscal policies. The panellists highlighted the need for structural reforms, investment in human capital and innovation, and greater collaboration between the government and private sector to promote sustainable and inclusive growth. The students and faculty participated actively in the discussion. Dr. Manish Dadhich moderated the panel discussion and Mr. Dipesh Vaya proposed vote of thanks.
