Dr. Monika Anand
Monika believes that communication is the key differentiator that can elevate people’s careers and lives. Twenty years of experience in teaching and training continue to reinforce this belief. Her goal is to enhance the ability of people to be effective communicators, especially in a corporate setting. As Deputy Dean – School of Liberal Studies, she works towards creating a vibrant interdisciplinary environment where students engage with diverse perspectives and cultivate a deeper understanding of the world around them. In her role as a Professor and Head, Department of English she facilitates the development and proficiency of communication skills for students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Her drive lies in working with students and creating experiential learning environments that are stimulating, encouraging and adaptive to the varied needs and backgrounds of students. She helps aspiring students and young professionals develop a personal brand which further helps in establishing their executive presence. Monika is a PhD in English literature, an Associate Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming and a certified Trainer by MEPSC, NSDC and Skill India. Her responsibilities apart from teaching courses on Business Communication, Corporate Communication, Soft Skills, English Literature and Language over the years include designing, implementing and monitoring soft skills training strategies; coordinating with leading trainers from various sectors to fine-tune and calibrate training methodologies; conducting training and impact evaluation of training/teaching sessions.

Dr. Shibani Banerjee
Dr. Shibani Banerjee works as Professor, English at Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. She aims at building the communicative skills of the students and help them develop as compassionate human beings with a sense of responsibility. She has been a strong motivator and guided students in attaining their goals in their professional and personal life. She has published papers in International and referred journals. She believes that every individual is important and the contribution of anyone cannot be negated and thus self-esteem, individual recognition, affirmation and empowerment form the basis of her work. Her research draws attention towards the emancipation of women and focuses on asserting one’s identity, making a powerful and positive impact in the society, looking beyond gender stereotypes and paving a way towards women empowerment.

Topic of PhD: Rebels in the Household: Female Rebellion in Some Indian Novels in English (1965-2000) from University of Rajasthan.

Abhinav Kumar Suryavanshi believes that design is not just about aesthetics, but about solving problems, shaping experiences, and creating lasting impact. With over a decade of combined academic and industry experience, he has built a career that bridges creative practice and design education. He holds a Postgraduate degree in UI/UX Design from the University of Texas at Austin (2024) and a Postgraduate degree in Craft Product Design (2015), enabling him to blend contemporary digital design methods with traditional design sensibilities.His industry work spans diverse domains, including interior and product design for Kajaria (Bathxperts), installation design for Hyatt Andaz Aerocity under the mentorship of renowned cultural revivalist

Rajiv Sethi, event design for the fashion brand Pero, and leadership roles in export houses, where he headed teams designing lighting and interior products for markets in Europe and America.In academia, Abhinav has contributed to institutions such as Vivekanand Global University and Manipal University through his role at ImaginXP (now part of CollegeDekho), where he designed curricula, conducted workshops, and mentored student teams to multiple national-level victories, including at IITs.

Now serving as an Assistant Professor at Sir Padampat Singhaniya Univeristy, he is known for creating interactive, case study–driven classrooms that encourage students to think beyond prescribed content and engage with design in practical, real-world contexts. This approach has helped him build a positive, open environment where students confidently share their ideas, explore creative problem-solving, and develop a strong design voice.Proficient in a wide range of industry tools—including Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Framer, and Proto.io—Abhinav integrates human-centered design principles, branding strategy, and sustainability-driven thinking into his teaching, inspiring students to become not only skilled designers but also socially responsible innovators.

Ms. Yasha Purohit

Yasha Purohit believes that design is a powerful medium for transforming ideas into meaningful experiences. For her, design is not limited to aesthetics—it is about understanding people, solving problems, preserving culture, and creating innovative solutions that resonate with evolving industry needs. As a faculty member and Program Coordinator of B.Des at Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur, she is committed to nurturing future designers through a balanced approach of creativity, technical expertise, and industry relevance.

Yasha brings a diverse academic and professional background, holding a Master’s degree in Fashion Management and a Bachelor’s degree specializing in Fashion Design. She has further specialized in Brand Management from IIT Delhi and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Design from Banasthali Vidyapith. Her interdisciplinary expertise enables her to bridge traditional design sensibilities with contemporary digital practices.
With eight years of teaching experience, Yasha has worked with fashion, communication, and design students across reputed institutions. Prior to joining SPSU, she served as the Head of the Design Department at JIET Institute of Design and has also taught at esteemed institutions such as Manipal University and Vivekananda Global University. Alongside academia, she has developed strong expertise in UX/UI design, integrating user-centered methodologies into her teaching and practice.

Her areas of specialization include Fashion Design, UI/UX Design, Brand Management, Visual Communication, and Design Strategy. She is particularly passionate about exploring the intersection of traditional crafts and digital transformation, with research interests focused on the digitalization of craft clusters, studying the evolution of traditional practices into contemporary trends, and understanding how design can support sustainability and cultural preservation.

Yasha strongly believes that design education should go beyond classroom teaching. Her goal is to ensure that students receive practical, studio-based, and industry-oriented learning experiences that prepare them for real-world challenges. She actively encourages students to participate in competitions, exhibitions, workshops, live projects, and industry collaborations, helping them gain visibility and confidence in the competitive design and glamour industries.

Her teaching philosophy centers on creating an engaging, collaborative, and inspiring learning environment where students can develop their unique creative voice. By combining hands-on learning with mentorship, Yasha strives to shape designers who are not only skilled professionals but also innovative thinkers and responsible creators ready to lead the future of design.
