MTech in Mechanical Engineering (specialization in Machine Design, Production Engineering) is a 2-year graduate program based on a semester system. An M.Tech. Mechanical Engineering understudy is instructed about the foundations of concepts such as manufacturing science, state of matter, the design of a machine, and the principles and applications related to machines. It is a stimulating course that helps the student conduct experiments and research in areas related to mechanics and infers conclusions from them. A course providing an insight into the world of machines, it is a blend of theoretical and hands-on practical knowledge to prepare the students for the challenging professional world of mechanics.

Dr. Naveen Kumar is serving as Professor and Head in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He received his Master’s of Engineering from IIT Roorkee and Doctoral degree from NIT Kurukshetra. He has more than 21 research papers including papers in SCI and web of science indexed journals and conferences to his credit. Dr. Kumar has successfully guided two PhD scholars and currently supervising many research scholars. He has also supervised three MTech Thesis. Dr Naveen Kumar organized three international conferences as a convener where researchers from across the globe participated.

He also has published Indian patent and book chapters. He has also delivered expert lectures on additive manufacturing. He is also serving in reviewer panel of reputed international journals. His current research interest areas include Flexible Manufacturing System, Intelligent manufacturing, optimization techniques and renewable energy. Dr. Kumar has more than 20 years of experience of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
