The SPIC MACAY in Association with Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur
organised "Caranatic Violin" performance by renowned artist Dr. M. Lalitha & M.
Nandini (LN SISTERS) on April 12 th 2024. As Cultural ambassadors of India’s rich
musical heritage, Lalitha and Nandini have traversed the four corners of the globe –
spreading the message of global harmony through music. Their musical
compositions have been widely acclaimed by several music critics as sublime,
ebullient, soul stirring, virtuous. The Honourable President, SPSU Prof. (Dr.) Prithvi
Yadav along with Director Research Prof. P Chakravarthy, Dean SOE Prof. Arun
Kumar & Dean SOM Prof. Sadananda Prusty welcomed and felicitated the artists.
Prof. (Dr.) Prithvi emphasising on the University’s commitment to promoting cultural
exchange highlighted the significance of such cultural initiatives in fostering a sense
of unity and understanding among diverse communities. The students, faculty, and
music enthusiasts, were enthralled by the enchanting renditions presented by the LN
Sisters, which showcased the timeless beauty and depth of Caranatic music. The
event was coordinated by Lt. (Dr.) D S Chouhan, Deputy Dean Students’ Welfare
and Coordinator SPIC MACAY at SPSU.
