The office of Directorate of Research and Publications and the office of International Affairs, SPSU organized the fifth lecture of international expert lecture series on March 28, 2024. Prof.(Dr.)Sandeep Poddar (Ph.D., Deputy Vice Chancellor, (Research & Innovation)) of Lincoln University Malaysia delivered the lecture on ‘Sustainable Energy and Technological Advancements’. Prof. Poddar emphasized the importance of diversifying our energy sources to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and mitigate environmental degradation. He highlighted ongoing research initiatives aimed at harnessing solar, wind, and geothermal energy, showcasing their potential to meet growing energy demands while minimizing carbon emissions. The lecture served as a platform for exchanging ideas and fostering collaboration between academia and industry in the pursuit of sustainable energy solutions. The faculty members gained insights into cutting-edge technologies and innovative approaches driving the transition towards a greener and more sustainable future. Prof. Prasun Chakrabarti, Director, DoRP, Prof. Sadananda Prusty, Dean, School of Management, and Prof. Arun Kumar, Dean, School of Engineering discussed the importance of sustainable development and potential collaboration between the two institutions. Dr. Tulika Chakrabarti coordinated the session and Dr. Manish Dadhich delivered the vote of thanks.
