Dr Bhavana Adhikari

Dr Bhavana Adhikari is a Mechanical engineer with a doctorate in management and has a vast
experience of more than 25 years in teaching , research, training and academic administration. Dr
Adhikari is a highly accomplished academic with expertise in the field of educational innovation and
curriculum development. With a keen understanding of the evolving needs of students and the
changing landscape of education she has been instrumental in designing the flexible credit system
that aligns seamlessly with the National Education Policy 2020. She has been a resource person and
a trainer for Management Development Programmes at various national and international forums.
Her research interests include competency development, personality studies, employee
engagement, and management communication. A keen researcher she has published several books/
research papers in reputed refereed journals. She has been the principal coordinator of two
prestigious European Union, ERASMUS+ projects on Capacity Building in Higher Education.

Prof. Amit Kumar Goel

Prof. Amit Kumar Goel

Dr. Amit Kumar Goel is a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology
(Mesra). He has vast experience in Software Industry, Academics and Research, spanning over
twenty-five years. He started his career in the capacity of a Software Engineer and later worked
in various prestigious Universities, in India.
His current areas of interest include the field of artificial intelligence, database systems,
graphics, machine learning, natural language processing, programming languages and theory of
computation. He has published and presented 70+ research papers in various SCI/Scopus-
indexed journals and conferences and 15 national/international patents. He has supervised 5
Ph.D. scholars and over 20 Master’s Degree students.Prior to joining SPSU in 2024, he had served as Professor cum Dean in Apeejay Stya University
from 2023 to 2024 and HOD-CSE at Galgotias University from 2017 to 2023. His achievement
at various Universities was to implement OBE, NAAC, and CBCS curricula etc
As a passionate academician, he had been a mentor and trainer for his students and has
ensured the highest quality arrangements in teaching, learning and student support system that
have ensured students being transformed from potential to professionals.

Workshop: Web Development Technologies (Pee Learning) 17 August 2022 24 August 2022 31 August 2022 In this activity, senior students prepare the sessions of the juniors. All the learning and discussions among the students are under the supervision of the faculty members and B.Tech (CSE + AIML + CTIS) II Year Students.
Outcome-oriented final year project with assessment through OBE-rubrics. We developed the project rubrics for final-year projects. As The way of implementing the Final Year Project is changed. Every project is assigned an outcome/ output in terms of Research paper/ Patent/copywriting/ etc. Regress monitoring and presentations are planned and executed. Supervisors are also aligned with this target.
Final year placement wining camp 4 weeks from 29/08/2022. For the preparation of the placement, 4-week regress training will be scheduled for final-year students on concepts asked by the industry at the time of placement drives. Along with this, mock interviews (technical and personal) also be planned for the students.
Research Clusters formation in department Develop the research cluster in the department based on the SDG goals. The CSE research technologies are mapped with these goals and finally, the cluster-tech matrix has been developed. All the research scholars and research activities of the department are aligned with this matrix. Students will also be aligned with this matrix.
IEEE Day and Ideathon 12-10 2022 Celebrate the IEEE day with the students and faculty members, Target Audiences: The Ideathon has been organized in which the students shared their creative ideas, and the mentors and professors gave the inputs to make it revenue-oriented and push the students towards the start-ups.

The Faculty of Computing and Informatics at SPSU University is equipped with state-of-the-
art facilities to support our comprehensive and hands-on learning approach. Our infrastructure
includes five dedicated Programming and Software Development Labs, where students gain
practical experience in coding, software engineering, and application development. Additionally,
we have specialized labs for VLSI design, providing students with the tools and environment
necessary to explore advanced integrated circuit design and development.
