The momentous Ninth Convocation of Sir Padampat Singhania University for the graduating batches of 2022 was held on Wednesday, November 9^th, 2022 with great grandeur and fanfare. Honorable Chairperson Dr. Nidhipati Singhania and Prof. (Dr.) Padmakali Banerjee, Honourable President, SPSU welcomed the Board of Management, distinguished guest Mrs Vidhi Singhania and trustees Dr. Raghavpat Singhania, Managing Director, JK Cement Ltd and Shri Madhavkrishna Singhania, Deputy MD and CEO, JK Cement Ltd. The  Guests of Honour were Ms Rajeshwari Gayekwad , Ace cricketer, Honourable Dr. Badria Ibrahim Al Shihi, Deputy Vice Chair, State Council Oman and Dr. Yogi Sriram, Advisor to CEO and MD, Group Human Resources Larsen and Toubro. They were also awarded the Honoris Causa for the significant contribution in their respective field.

Honourary Professorship was conferred to Dr. B Shadrach, Director Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia, Dr. Roopak Vasishtha, CEO Apparel Sector, Skill Counsel, Govt. of India, Mr. Swapnakant Samal, Head Talent Acquisition Reliance Industries Ltd, Mr. Govind Negi Senior Director, Head of Talent India & Europe 3Pillar Global and Mr. Ashish Bhalla, Head – Campus Relations HCL Technologies.

 The President in the convocation address highlighted the transformative journey, strategic industry-academia partnerships, international collaborations, University ranking, research, Centres of Excellence namely Centre for Sustainable Energy, Centre for Innovation in Skills & Social Entrepreneurship. She also briefed the august gathering about Sangyaan- the orientation programme, the third YP Singhania Memorial lecture, Umang- the vibrant annual Sports Fest and other major accomplishments of the University. She blessed the students and urged them to be the change agents and harbingers of progress, values and reform. The Chairperson too congratulated the graduands and bestowed his blessings for their success in future endeavours.

The students from School of Engineering and Management were awarded the degrees. Narayanadasu Lavanya from B.Tech (ECE) degree programme was awarded the Chancellor’s Gold Medal for scoring the highest Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) amongst all the programmes of study offered by the University from the graduating class of 2022. The President’s Medal for securing the highest marks in their respective disciplines were awarded to Narayanadasu Lavanya B.Tech (ECE), Vanga Achyuthanwesh B.Tech (CSE), KM Meenakshi Sharma B.Tech (RTE), Sanjay Chouhan (M.Tech) and Disha Vyas (BBA).  Col. Sanjay Sinha, Head Education, JK Cement Ltd, other officials of the University including Dr. Sanjiv Tomar, Pro-President SPSU, Registrar, Deans, Faculty, Eminent personalities across the country, Board Members and People from media were a part of the grand celebration.
