The Directorate of Research and Publications, SPSU organised an expert lecture on the Real Life Applications of Statistical Distributions on Jan 12, 2024. The esteemed invited speaker was Dr. Jyotindra C. Prajapati, Professor of Mathematics, Sardar Patel University. Dr. Prajapati, with a Ph.D. from SVNIT, Surat, has 23 years of teaching and research experience. Specializing in Special Functions, Integral Transforms, and Fractional Calculus, he has authored 72 research papers and a chapter in “Advances in Mathematics Research.” As a mentor, he guided many scholars to Ph.D. success, notably Dr. Krunal Kachhia, awarded Best Thesis in 2016. The expert lecture on Real Life Applications of Statistical Distributions aimed to provide participants with insights into the practical applications of statistical distributions in various fields. Dr. Prajapati delivered an insightful lecture, covering various aspects of statistical distributions, their real-life applications, and case studies. The audience actively participated through the Q&A sheets, contributing to the interactive nature of the event. The event concluded with a set of thoughtful closing remarks, emphasizing the importance of applying newfound knowledge and encouraging continued engagement within our academic community. Participants left the event inspired and equipped with a deeper understanding of statistical distributions and their real-world applications.
