On January 10, 2024 the Directorate of Research and Publications and the International Affairs Office, SPSU organized the inaugural lecture of the “Expert Lecture Colloquium 2024.” The distinguished speaker for the event, Prof. Chin-Shiuh Shieh, Ph.D., a Professor from the National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology, Taiwan, delivered an insightful presentation on Distributed Denial of Service attacks and their impact on preventing legitimate users from accessing websites. The event, witnessed the active participation of SPSU faculty members and students. Prof. (Dr.) Prasun Chakrabarti, Dean Research and International Affairs, provided an overview of the Expert Lecture Colloquium 2024. The welcome note was graciously extended by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor and President, Prof. (Dr.) M.K. Vajpayee. He highlighted the pivotal role of research in shaping students’ development and emphasized its transformative impact on their educational journeys. The event was further enriched by the presence of Col. Sanjay Sinha, Head of Education, Education Vertical, JK Cement Ltd. He advocated for fostering cross-border collaborative research among institutions to instill a scientific research aptitude in students. The online presence of Prof. Chin-Shiuh Shieh added an international dimension to the lecture series, fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration.
