About M. Tech in Biotechnology
M. Tech programme offered by the Department of Biotechnology a 2-year degree program consisting of 4 semesters. In M. Tech two specializations are offered, one Specialization in Industrial Biotechnology and the other Specialization in Plant Biotechnology. The Programme is focussed to produce the human resource with skills such as designing of the experiments, analytical skills, research skills, creative thinking, ability to work alone and in team, deliver the outcome methodically etc.
M.Tech with Specialization in Industrial Biotechnology
- Course curriculum is aligned with the research-oriented/industry requirement and the structure is focused on a choice based credit system (CBCS).
- The teaching learning method is focused on outcome based education.
- Courses includes applied subjects such as – Recent advances in Genetic engineering, Fermentation technology, Biopharmaceutical technology, food biotechnology etc.
- Final semester is exclusively dedicated to project work to impart employability skills which they can perform in house/ at industry/ at research institute.
M.Tech with Specialization in Plant Biotechnology
