SPSU Organized Ph.D. Induction Program for January 2025 Batch

Sir Padampat Singhania University (SPSU), Udaipur, successfully organized the Ph.D. Induction Program for the January 2025 batch on January 20, 2025. The event aimed to formally welcome the newly admitted research scholars and introduce them to the university’s research ecosystem, interdisciplinary opportunities, and academic culture.

Hon’ble President Prof. (Dr.) Prithvi Yadav delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing SPSU’s commitment to research excellence, global collaboration, and the importance of publishing high-quality research. The keynote address was delivered by Prof. Sreevas Sahasranamam from the University of Glasgow, who provided valuable insights into global research trends, innovation in entrepreneurship, and the significance of interdisciplinary research. Prof. (Dr.) Prasun Chakrabarti, Director, Directorate of Research and Publications, highlighted SPSU’s research framework and the importance of interdisciplinary and collaborative research. He also discussed various publication platforms available for research scholars.

The faculty-specific overviews provided deeper insights into research opportunities in different disciplines. Dr. Chandrashekhar Goswami, Dy. Dean, Faculty of Computing & Informatics, discussed technological advancements and emerging research opportunities in computing and informatics. Prof. (Dr.) Sadananda Prusty, Dean, Faculty of Management, emphasized the importance of selecting a strong research problem and conducting a thorough literature review. Prof. (Dr.) Naveen Kumar, Dy. Dean, Faculty of Integrated & Advanced Technology, highlighted engineering and technology research applications and their real-world impact.

The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Neeti Mathur, Ph.D. Coordinator, Faculty of Management, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty members, and research scholars for their participation.
