Report on Fractal X Game Design Club Inauguration & Workshop

Introduction

The Fractal X Game Design Club was officially inaugurated on 2nd April 2025 at Sir Padampat Singhania University (SPSU). The event featured a workshop by Mr. Sangam Verma, Lead Game Developer at Pluto, Mumbai. The objective of the event was to introduce students to the field of game design, explore career opportunities, and understand the game development process.

Event Proceedings

The event commenced with a warm welcome and introduction by the host. This was followed by a speech by Zaheen Khan, the Club Head, who highlighted the club's vision and objectives. At 2:50 PM, a badge distribution ceremony was conducted, led by Dr. Prithvi Yadav, Dr. Monika Anand and Ms. Yasha Purohit, recognizing the core team members of the club. Dr. Prithvi Yadav, the Vice Chancellor of SPSU, delivered an inspiring speech on the importance of game design in modern education and industry. The chief guest, Mr. Sangam Verma, was welcomed. He conducted a one-hour workshop covering the following key topics:
• Introduction to Game Development
• Career opportunities in the Game Industry
• The Game Design Process

Mr. Verma shared industry insights, discussed emerging trends, and engaged students in an interactive Q&A session.

Conclusion

The event concluded with a vote of thanks at 4:15 PM by Rudra Pratap Singh, the Programming Head of the club. The registration process for new club members was also announced. The inauguration and workshop successfully introduced students to the game development industry and provided them with valuable knowledge to explore future opportunities. The Fractal X Game Design Club is set to become a platform for students to develop their skills and engage in creative projects in the gaming field.
