International Women’s Day Celebration at SPSU
Sir Padampat Singhania University celebrated International Women’s Day on March 7, 2025 with great enthusiasm and commitment to recognizing the achievements and contributions of women. The event aimed to highlight gender equality, women’s empowerment, and the significance of inclusivity in academia and society. The programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr. DS Chouhan, Dy Dean, Student Welfare, who emphasized the importance of gender equality and the role of women in shaping the future. The Chief Guest, Mrs Savita Yadav, in her address, urged young women to contribute to society and support the upliftment of underprivileged yet talented individuals. She shared her inspiring journey of working tirelessly under the banner of Prayash, where she dedicated herself to motivating and upskilling domestic workers.
The celebration featured a quiz on Women Achievers and poetry recitations on gender equality by students and staff members.
The Women’s Day celebration was a resounding success, fostering awareness, inspiration, and empowerment. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Archana Gajbhiye, Coordinator, Student Welfare, expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest, Dr. Monika Anand, Dr. Shweta Lalwani, all participants including students and women staff members of the university. The celebration reinforced the commitment of SPSU to supporting gender equality and encouraging the leadership of women in all spheres of life.
