Founder’s Day Celebration at SPSU

Sir Padampat Singhania University (SPSU), Udaipur, celebrated Founder’s Day on Monday, September 29, 2025, to mark the birth anniversary of its visionary Founder Chairperson, Late Shri Yadupati Singhania Ji- A nation builder, visionary entrepreneur, industrialist, philanthropist, and social engineer who laid the foundation of SPSU with the vision of fostering innovation, excellence, and holistic development in higher education.

Maharaj Randhir Singh Ji Bhinder, Ex-MLA, Vallabhnagar, a leader and social reformer known for his contributions to rural development, education, and community welfare, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The Honourable President Prof. (Dr.) Prithvi Yadav felicitated the dignitaries and in his address, highlighted the life, vision, and remarkable contributions of the Founder Chairperson. He encouraged the students to imbibe Shri Yadupati Singhania Ji’s values of perseverance, dedication, and service to society. He briefed about the new-age programmes launched by the university and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to carrying forward the legacy of the Founder Chairperson.

Speaking on the occasion, Maharaj Randhir Singh Ji Bhinder paid homage to Late Shri Yadupati Singhania Ji and lauded his far-sighted vision in establishing SPSU as a temple of learning. He emphasized the importance of education in shaping responsible citizens and motivated the students to contribute positively to society.

The Sports Director Dr. Kuldeep Singh Jhala briefed about Yadupati Singhania Memorial Invitational Football Tournament organised on this special day. A total of 21 teams across the Udaipur region participated in the Inter-College football tournament displaying remarkable skill, discipline and teamwork. The tournament went beyond the scoreboard as a celebration of solidarity and mutual respect. In the award ceremony held subsequently the Mavericks Club Udaipur – Winner and DFA Udaipur and G&R FC Udaipur who gained the second and third positions respectively were awarded with trophy, memento and cash prize.

The Pro President, Prof. Prasun Chakrabarti, Registrar Prof. Uday Prakash Singh, Campus Director Col. HP Singh, Deans, faculty members and students of SPSU participated with great enthusiasm, reflecting on the ideals of the Founder Chairperson and drawing inspiration to carry forward his mission of empowering youth through knowledge and values. The programme was convened by Dr. Shibani Banerjee and coordinated by Dr. Archana Gajbhiye.

The ceremony served as a solemn tribute and a reminder of Shri Yadupati Singhania Ji’s vision for creating an institution that nurtures talent, promotes innovation, and contributes meaningfully to society.
