Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering deals with Designing & Manufacturing of small individual parts & devices (e.g. micro scale sensors & inkjet printer nozzles) to large systems (e.g. spacecraft & machine tools). This course offers a comprehensive knowledge of engineering preparing you to work in a broad range of industries. Among the general topics, you’ll study engineering mathematics, materials, mechanical science, manufacturing technology, computer-aided engineering, thermodynamics and electrical science. 

Additionally, the students are trained in cement plant operation, automation and maintenance by industry experts from FL Smidth, an OEM for cement industry and JK Cement. The students also have opportunity to earn additional certified training by GHH. This course gives you a unique opportunity to collaborate with other engineering students on some incredible projects, such as designing a hovercraft, a Formula Student racing car and designing of solar powered vehicle and robots.

Passed XII std or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 40 % marks, in case of Backward Class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability) in the above subjects taken together
