The Faculty of Integrated and Advanced Technology (FIAT) is dedicated to fostering
excellence in engineering education, offering a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and
doctoral programs. FIAT emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach, integrating advanced
technology and industry collaboration to equip students with the skills needed to thrive in
modern engineering fields.
FIAT offers Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programs in several key engineering disciplines.
These programs are designed to provide a strong theoretical foundation, hands-on experience,
and exposure to real-world challenges, making students industry-ready. In collaboration with
leading industry partners such as L&T EduTech, Hindustan Zinc Limited, and
GHH, FIAT integrates industry-relevant knowledge and practical training into its curriculum,
ensuring students are prepared to meet the demands of today’s rapidly evolving engineering
sectors. FIAT also offers a variety of Master of Technology (MTech) programs, catering to both
regular students and working professionals. These postgraduate programs provide specialized
knowledge and training in specific areas of engineering, enabling students to pursue advanced
careers in academia, research, and industry. These programs are tailored to meet the needs of
both fresh graduates and experienced professionals, offering flexible learning paths to
accommodate working students. FIAT also provides doctoral programs (PhD) across various
engineering disciplines, encouraging research and innovation. The PhD programs aim to

- At SPSU, we developed sustainable and eco-friendly interlocking paver blocks made
from geopolymer concrete, which can be manufactured and marketed for commercial
use. - Indian design patent granted to Dr. Avinash for the Geopolymer Concrete Interlocking
Speed Breaker. - Indian design patent granted to Dr. Avinash for the Wheel-Mounted Fly Ash Ball Mill

Dr Bhavana Adhikari
Dr Bhavana Adhikari is a Mechanical engineer with a doctorate in management and has a vast
experience of more than 25 years in teaching , research, training and academic administration. Dr
Adhikari is a highly accomplished academic with expertise in the field of educational innovation and
curriculum development. With a keen understanding of the evolving needs of students and the
changing landscape of education she has been instrumental in designing the flexible credit system
that aligns seamlessly with the National Education Policy 2020. She has been a resource person and
a trainer for Management Development Programmes at various national and international forums.
Her research interests include competency development, personality studies, employee
engagement, and management communication. A keen researcher she has published several books/
research papers in reputed refereed journals. She has been the principal coordinator of two
prestigious European Union, ERASMUS+ projects on Capacity Building in Higher Education.

Prof(Dr) Naveen Kumar
Professor & Deputy Dean, Faculty of Integrated and Advanced
Technology
Prof. Naveen Kumar is serving as Professor in the Mechanical Engineering and Deputy
Dean of Faculty of Integrated and Advanced Technology. He received his Master’s of
Engineering from IIT Roorkee and Doctoral degree from NIT Kurukshetra. He has more
than 23 years of teaching and industry experience. Dr Kumar has contributed more than
23 research papers in reputed journals including papers in SCI and web of science
indexed journals and conferences to his credit. Dr. Kumar has successfully guided several
PhD and MTech thesis and currently supervising many research scholars.Dr Naveen Kumar organized three international conferences as a convener where
researchers from across the globe participated. He also has published Indian patent and
book chapters. He has taken many expert sessions at Institute of Engineers Udaipur
Local chapter and government Engineering colleges on additive manufacturing, flexible
manufacturing and energy conservation. He is also serving in reviewer panel of reputed
international journals. His current research interest areas includes Flexible
Manufacturing System, Intelligent manufacturing, optimization techniques and
renewable energy.
