About Faculty of Applied Sciences
The Faculty of Applied Sciences, one of the newest faculty of Sir Padampat Singhania University, was established in September 2024. It aims to provide high-quality teaching of basic science subjects to Engineering as well as Management students. The faculty of Applied Sciences at SPSU is striving to be acknowledged for excellence in teaching, research and outreach, at a distinctive locus of science and technology. Research is carried out in all major areas of chemical and physical sciences. It has started its journey of making technology contributions in new materials for energy solutions, environmental remediation, water and healthcare. The faculty members are dedicated to provide individual attention to the students with the goal to develop a strong foundation for their respective future careers by nurturing their analytical abilities and critical thinking. The faculty provides well equipped laboratory facilities to the students as a part of their curriculum.
At the same time, the faculty aspires to establish its name in research with world-class and high-impact outputs in the frontiers of applied sciences in interdisciplinary areas. Particularly, the Chemistry and Physics department possesses some highly-motivated young faculty members with research experience from various premier institutes of India and abroad. Their research interests encompass diverse areas of applied as well as fundamental sciences, spanning fields like Atomic & Molecular Physics, quantum computing, condensed matter physics, Nano-technology, Environmental chemistry, Natural plants and drugs design. The faculty members are currently focused on establishing their own research groups to pursue research on their respective thrust areas.

His research focuses on nanomaterials and condensed matter physics, particularly the synthesis and characterization of mixed spinel ferrites. He is skilled in chemical co-precipitation methods for developing both bulk and nano- sized Ni-substituted Co-Zn ferrites, and he employs advanced tools such as X- ray diffractometry, Mössbauer spectroscopy, VSM, and TEM for material analysis.
