Brief Biography of Faculty Members
Prof. Amit Kumar Goel
(Dean, FCI)
Dr. Amit Kumar Goel is a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology
(Mesra). He has vast experience in Software Industry, Academics and Research, spanning over
twenty-five years. He started his career in the capacity of a Software Engineer and later worked
in various prestigious Universities, in India.
His current areas of interest include the field of artificial intelligence, database systems, graphics, machine learning, natural language processing, programming languages and theory of computation. He has published and presented 70+ research papers in various SCI/Scopus- indexed journals and conferences and 15 national/international patents. He has supervised 5 Ph.D. scholars and over 20 Master’s Degree students.
His current areas of interest include the field of artificial intelligence, database systems, graphics, machine learning, natural language processing, programming languages and theory of computation. He has published and presented 70+ research papers in various SCI/Scopus- indexed journals and conferences and 15 national/international patents. He has supervised 5 Ph.D. scholars and over 20 Master’s Degree students.
Prior to joining SPSU in 2024, he had served as Professor cum Dean in Apeejay Stya University
from 2023 to 2024 and HOD-CSE at Galgotias University from 2017 to 2023. His achievement
at various Universities was to implement OBE, NAAC, and CBCS curricula etc

Dr. Chandrashekhar Goswami
(Dy. Dean,FCI)
Dr. Chandrashekhar Goswami is working as Deputy Dean and Associate Professor in Faculty of
Computing and Informatics, Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur, India. He is having
more than 15+ years of Teaching, Research, and Institutional Experience. He has completed
his Ph.D. from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore in 2021. Dr. Goswami holds
M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical
University (CSVTU), Bhilai. He also holds MBA degree in Human Resource Management
(HRM). He has completed B.E. in Information Technology from Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj
Nagpur University (RTMNU), Nagpur. He had presented several papers in International
conferences, published 24 International journal papers in SCOPUS and Web of Science, and 4
patents filed. One Copyright has been granted. He is a Life member of CSI and IAENG. His
research interest includes Database System, Mobile Ad Hoc Network, Internet of Things (IoT),
Deep Learning, Wireless Sensor Networks and Smart City Application.
Dr. Prasun Chakrabarti

Prof. (Dr.) Prasun Chakrabarti received his Ph.D. (Engg.) Degree in Computer Science and
Engineering from Jadavpur University in 2009 and higher doctoral degree D.Litt from Sambalpur
University in 2022. In 2022 he registered for another higher doctoral degree (D.Sc.). He is
working as Director, Directorate of Research and Publication and Dean (International Affairs)
and Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering. He became Full Professor at
only 34 years and is one of the youngest Deputy Vice Chancellors of Gujarat at only 40
years.He has 100+ SCI/Scopus indexed publications,11 books ,83 granted International patents
and 16 granted Indian copyrights. He has supervised 11 Ph.D. candidates successfully. On
various research assignments, he has visited Waseda University Japan (2012) availing
prestigious INSA-CICS travel grant), University of Mauritius (2015), Nanyang Technological
University Singapore (2015,2016,2019), Lincoln University College Malaysia (2018), National
University of Singapore (2019), Asian Institute of Technology Bangkok Thailand (2019) and ISI
Delhi (2019).

Dr. Alok Kumar
Professor
Dr. Alok Kumar is working as Professor in the Department of Computer Science Engineering,
Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur, India. He also Founder of Raccord IT Solutions,
Jaipur, which is involved in advanced application and software development. Dr. Kumar has a
rich professional experience in Data Science Consulting, Developing Data Products, Big Data
Implementation, Big Data Visualization, Data management and maintenance for Banking,
Healthcare, Manufacturing, Scientific Research, and Data-Driven Marketing Sectors. He worked
as researcher at Ghent University, Belgium and involved in the industrial consultancy. He was a
post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Mathematical Engineering of Universite
Catholique de Louvain, Belgium and associated with the “Large Graphs and Networks” research
group and involved in an EU-FP7 FIRE Project “EULER” with Prof. Jean-Charles Delvenne and
Prof. Vincent Blondel.
Prior to that, he worked briefly at Department of Computer Science and Engineering of National Institute of Technology Patna, India as an Assistant Professor. He obtained PhD in Information Technology from IIIT Allahabad, India in the area of Internet architecture and IoT. He completed Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology from MBM Engineering College, Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur, India and Master of Technology in Computer Engineering from Center for Development of Advanced Computing, Noida, India. He has published several research articles in the international journals and conferences of repute. Dr. Kumar delivered many technical talks on different topics at various prestigious academic and industrial events.

Dr.Amrit Ghosh
Associate Professor
A competent professional with 22 years and seven months of experience in Project
Handling and Teaching in Under Graduate B.Tech level and 15 years and seven
months in Post Graduate M.Tech level (in VLSI & Microelectronics). Currently, five
Ph.D. scholars were awarded with doctoral degree till 13.11.2024. Taught Ph.D. Course
Work Subject since November 2015. One Ph.D. Research Scholar already submitted
his Thesis and his Final Viva – Voce was completed. At present, having two Ph.D.
Research Scholars and their work mainly based on the mapping of Land use and Land
cover, detection changing and future prediction of multi spectral and multi temporal
satellite imagery using Remote sensing and GIS technique and Digital Image
Processing. Currently associated with Sir Padampat Singhania University (under the
aegis of J. K. Cements Ltd., Nimbahera Foundation, NAAC Accredited), Udaipur,
Rajasthan as Associate Professor in Faculty of the Computing & Informatics and
Associate Director, Directorate of Research.

October 10, 2009. Energetic UG and PG level Associate Professor & Head of Department,
Electronics & Communication Engineering, SIr Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur, with 18
years of experience in universities of repute. Proponent of utilizing technology to enhance
teaching. Proficient in clearly explaining complex topics to students with all level of scientific
understanding. Total six Ph.D. in Electronics and Comm. Engg. thesis guided and awarded the
degree, five are ongoing. Research interests are in the field of Embedded Systems, Wireless
Sensor Networks and Internet of Things.
Dr. Ashutosh Gupta
Associate Professor
Dr. Ashutosh Gupta is working as Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science
and Engineering at Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur. He completed his Ph.D. in
computer science and Engineering from Banasthali Vidhyapeeth, Rajasthan. Dr. Gupta has
more than 26 years of teaching and academic experience. He had served in prestigious
institutes ICFAI Tech Jaipur, BIT Mesra Extension Centre Jaipur, SKIT Jaipur, IET Alwar and
Government Polytechnic Sawai Madhopur as Lecturer. He has published several research
papers in international and national journals and conference proceedings. His primary areas of
interest are Cloud Computing, e-Governance and IT enabled Services.
Dr. Ritesh Tirole
Associate Professor
Dr. Ritesh Tirole obtained his B. Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Amaravati
University in 1998. He obtained the M.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from RGPV, Bhopal in
2004. He was awarded with Gold Medal in M.E. degree. He then obtained Ph.D. Degree in
Electrical Engineering from MPUAT, Udaipur in 2019. Presently he is working as Assistant
Professor in Electrical Engineering Department at SPSU, Udaipur. He is the co-ordinator of
Centre of Sustainable Energy Studies at SPSU. Also, he is a council Member of I E (India),
Udaipur. He has an academic experience of more than 23 years in total.
Mr. Adnan Pipawala
Assistant Professor
Adnan Pipawala serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science &
Engineering at Sir Padampat Singhania University (SPSU), Udaipur. With a solid academic
background and recognized achievements, Adnan has developed a reputable career in both
academia and research. His educational journey began with a B.Tech degree from Rajasthan
Technical University, Kota. He went on to earn an M.Tech from Maharana Pratap University of
Technology, where he graduated with a gold medal, a testament to his academic dedication and
proficiency. Furthering his academic qualifications, he completed an MBA from Manipal
University, Jaipur, enhancing his knowledge of management and leadership.
Currently pursuing his Ph.D. at SPSU, Adnan's commitment to knowledge advancement is
evident through his active participation in academic and research communities. With over two years of teaching experience, he has contributed to the intellectual development of his students
and peers through lectures, mentorship, and involvement in departmental initiatives.
Adnan has published three research papers in Scopus Indexed Journals, underscoring his
dedication to research excellence. His expertise spans a diverse range of interest areas,
including cloud computing, machine learning, artificial intelligence, data science, digital
marketing, and cybersecurity. Adnan has also earned certifications in these fields from
esteemed platforms like IBM, Coursera, Google, and Microsoft.
An advocate for continuous learning and professional growth, Adnan actively participates in
international journals, conferences, workshops, and Faculty Development Programs (FDPs). His
professional involvement and certifications make him a valuable contributor to SPSU’s

Dr. Arun Vaishnav
Assistant Professor
Dr. Arun Vaishnav serves as Assistant Professor in Computer Science and Engineering at Sir
Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. He possesses over 10 years of
teaching experience. Dr. Vaishnav earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Mohanlal
Sukhadia University in 2020. He earned a certification in "Computer Networks and Internet
Protocol" through NPTEL's 12-week online program conducted by IIT Kharagpur in 2024.
He has published 12 research papers in journals, including 5 in Scopus-indexed journals and 5
in UGC-recognized journals, and 2 in other reputable journals, demonstrating his commitment to
high-quality research and academic excellence. In addition to his journal publications, he has
extended his research outreach through 8 publications in esteemed conference proceedings

M.Tech (I.T),B.Tech (I.T) He Has over 15 years’ experience in academia. He has supervised
more than 30 under graduate projects. He has published two patents and published many
research papers. He has certifications from NPTEL, NASSCOM and IBM in emerging
technologies. He is life member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). His research
interests lie in Machine Learning, Industry 4.0 and Cloud Computing.
Dr. Chandani Joshi

Dr. Chandani Joshi working as an Assistant Professor in Department of Computer Science and
Engineering at Sir Padampat Singhania University of JkCement, Udaipur, With a rich and
diverse background spanning over 12+ years in the Academics sector, particularly in esteemed
institutions like Banasthali Vidyapeeth. She has a demonstrated history of working in the higher
education industry too. Dr.Joshi brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role. Dr.
Joshi educational journey is a testament to her commitment to excellence in the technical field.
Holding a Doctorate in Image Processing, a Master’s degree (M.Tech) and Bachelor’s degree
(BE) in Computer Science & Engineering, she possesses a solid foundation that underpins her
expertise.
One of Dr. Joshi’s key strengths lies in curriculum design, where she has demonstrated her
innovative prowess by crafting engaging and impactful educational programs. Her efforts have
resulted in positive outcomes for students, nurturing their learning experiences and fostering a
passion for their chosen fields of study. Along with teaching, she is working actively in the field
of Social Work with the projects in the association with Erasmus, programs funded by European
Union like project RAINBOW for Women Counseling and Empowerment. She is an active
member of IEEE student branch at SPSU Udaipur and have many other technical memberships
such as with Institute of Engineers and CSI. Her areas of interest are Medical Image
Processing, GIS and Remote Sensing, Soft Computing, Deep learning, Cloud Computing She
has published more than 20 papers under her name in reputed journals and conferences.
During her academic journey, she had coordinated and attended many workshops,
conferences, seminars, FDPs. She had been granted by reputed organizations for her research
visits to several countries like Paris (France), Singapore and Malaysia.
Mr. Dipesh Vaya
Assistant Professor
Assistant Professor of Information Technology and Data Analytics related courses at Sir
Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur. Completed his M.Tech and B.Tech from Rajasthan
Technical University, Kota. Mr. Dipesh Vaya has academic experience of 12 years in various
capacities. He has published more than 18 research papers in reputed international and
national journals. He has contributed many book chapters in the web of Science and scopus
indexed book series like IEEE, Springer & de Gruyter GmbH, Germany. Beyond Academics, he
is also associated with the Computer Society of India, Computer Science Teachers Association
and Universal Association of Computer and Electronics Engineers as Life Member. He actively

Mr. Gurpreet Singh

Gurpreet Singh is an accomplished Assistant Professor with over 11 years of experience in
Computer Science and Engineering. He specializes in WCF Java full stack, AI/ML, and Big
Data. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering, specializing in
AIML in healthcare. Committed to continuous learning, He has completed numerous courses on
platforms like Coursera, covering Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Networking, and
more. His leadership extends to the administration of academic programs, team coordination,
and the effective oversight of pre-placement training programs. Beyond academia, he has led
skill enhancement programs, boot camps, and workshops, contributing to projects like Cricket
Analysis using Big Data and AI-Enhanced Diagnostic Imaging System. Gurpreet Singh

Dr. Harish Tiwari
Assistant Professor
Dr. Harish Tiwari is an experienced academician and researcher in the field of
Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) with over 18 years of teaching
experience. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor, Dr. Tiwari has contributed
extensively to the field of education and research, with expertise in a variety of
core computing subjects. His dedication to academic excellence and holistic
development of students has earned him recognition as a key faculty member in
the department.

Mr. Harsh Bansal
Assistant Professor
Harsh Bansal is a highly experienced educator with over a decade of teaching and training
experience in collaboration with the IT industry. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in the domain
of computing with a focus on blockchain in education. Mr. Bansal has extensive programming
experience and has worked as a Robotic Process Automation developer on Blue Prism and
Automation Anywhere. He has expertise in teaching subjects such as Object-Oriented
Programming, Data Structures and Algorithms, Competitive Programming, Database and
Administration, Blockchain, Machine Learning and Robotic Process Automation. He is actively
pursuing research in the field of blockchain and machine learning.
Dr. Kamal Kant Hiran
Assistant Professor
Dr. Kamal Kant Hiran has over 18 years of experience in academia, research, and
administration in Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America. He has published 21 International
books with repute publishers like BPB Publications, IGI Global, De Gruyter, Wiley from India,
USA, Germany, UK. He has made significant contributions to our society’s technological
transformation. He has several awards to his credit such as International travel grant for

Dr. Manuj Joshi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and
