Training and Placement

The Corporate-Interface and Placement Cell of the University facilitates the process of placements of students. The office liaises with various industrial establishments, corporate houses/companies of all sizes, from startups to established ones that conduct campus interviews and select students from various disciplines. The Cell organizes seminars, workshops, lecture series by experts of the Industry and Academia.
In addition, employability support programmes based on a framework developed by assessment companies like AMCAT are provided to the students. AMCAT also provides opportunities to the students in various companies based on AMCAT online test scores.

  • JBM Group that has a diversified portfolio in the fields of automotive, engineering and design services is one of our prime recruiters. It has been providing industrial training to our selected students every year enabling them to work in an industrial environment and gain real time experience. This has helped our students to be industry ready with better job opportunities in the automobile industry. The current batch of students are undergoing training programme at various locations.

  • Collabera TACT (Technology Academy for Competency Training) in technical collaboration with SPSU conducted industry demanded training programmes in emerging and disruptive technologies like Big Data, Internet of Things, Ansys and Digital Marketing to students of both, School of Engineering and School of Management respectively. Collabera TACT certification would add a competitive edge to the students’ skill sets.

The R&D and Data Analytics Centre:
  • Valeur HR in collaboration with Six Capital provide students with an open platform to have an erudite experience of learning and developing skills about Big Data Analytics to understand market trends through Vision Alpha, an e-learning program. The concept is earn while you learn. The R&D and Data Analytics Center set up by Valeur HR with SPSU as a partner University is purely a skill development initiative, an E-learning programme. Students of SPSU, irrespective of their domain specialization, undergo a Foundation Course in Forex Trading and Trader Insight, which is intended to expand SPSU’s students’ career options and internships. Under the Vision Alpha programme, students of SPSU have performed commendably and recently one of the student have been amongst the top performers with a total earning of 2433 $(USD) since commencement of the programme. Other participating students have also earned in dollars under the same programme.

  • Valeur HR has also set up a Centre of Excellence for Next Gen Technologies -
    Under this programme Valeur HR in collaboration with SPSU is providing the best student talent to work on their live projects in HANA cloud platform, Artificial Intelligence, UI/UX Development and other Web Applications. This is a paid internship and students will get the opportunity to work under the guidance of industry experts.

  • TCS visited the Campus recently for an interactive session with the students on latest technology like Big Data, Cloud Computing and Internet of Things.

Several companies of repute have been amongst our prime recruiters like IBM, TCS, Hewlett Packard, McKinsey, Syntel, JK Cement, Bollhoff, Mindtree, JK Technosoft, CMS, Indus Bank, Axis Bank, SpiceJet, JBM Group, ICICI Bank, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, Maintec Technologies, Indian Army, Indian Navy, Collabera, Mphasis, Aspiring Minds, Taj Lake Palace, Siemens, Yuva Prerak Programme of Raj State Govt.,, TDI Infrastructure, Great Eastern Shipping, CISCO and many more.

Pre-placement offers:

Students have been associated with live internship projects in companies like NHAI, NW Railways, Cube Construction Ltd., Traverse Infra, Siemens, etc. Job offers have been given to some of the students who have been associated with the companies during their summer training and completion of projects. These offers are mainly from the Civil and Mechanical Engineering branches in the current batch of 2017.
