A Tribute to the Nation: SPSU Celebrates 150 Years of Vande Mataram
Sir Padampat Singhania University celebrated the 150 Years of Vande Mataram on
7th November 2025 at 5:00 PM at the University Amphitheatre. The event was
coordinated by Prof. (Lt.) (Dr.) D. S. Chouhan, Dr. Archana Gajbhiye, and the
Student Council.
Faculty, staff members and more than 100 students, including NCC cadets,
participated in the celebration, creating an atmosphere filled with patriotism and
unity. The program began with a warm welcome extended to the Deans, Deputy
Deans, Registrar, faculty members, and dignitaries.
The significance of the occasion was highlighted by remembering Bankim Chandra
Chatterjee, whose iconic composition Vande Mataram became a powerful symbol
during India’s freedom struggle.
The Registrar addressed the gathering, explaining the significance of the occasion
by reflecting on national identity, cultural pride, and the vital role of the younger
generation in preserving the nation’s values. His words inspired the audience and
added depth to the celebration.
The event concluded with a mass singing of Vande Mataram. Faculty, staff, and
students sang in unison, creating a moving moment that resonated with the spirit of
unity and national pride across the amphitheatre.
The celebration ended with an uplifting sense of respect, togetherness, and
patriotism.
