Panache’19 - the Annual Sports - Cultural Extravaganza of SPSU | March 02, 2019


Panache’19 - the student-driven Annual Sports-Cultural Extravaganza of SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY, Udaipur was held from February 28 - March 2, 2019. The festival provided a platform to the students to tap their potential and showcase their talent. Energetic Sports Meet, Vibrant Cultural Evenings, Fun and Food Stalls and Rocking Band Performances were the highlights of Panache’19. The HR Conclave 2019- Inclusive Leadership: Creating Employee-Centric Organisation in association with National Human Resource Development Network (NHRDN) and JK Cement Ltd was organized in the University campus on Saturday, March 2, 2019. It brought together business and HR leaders from across the country who shared their ideas, experiences and also discussed the innovations and best practices adopted by the industry veterans. SPSU alumni and celebrity Bhavit Rathore and Pragyaan Ameta - participant of ‘Indian Idol 6’ - who has recently launched the teaser of his music album ‘Meri Kahani’ in association with ZEE music at the University campus, enthralled the audience with their footing tapping numbers. The students put on a spectacular display of sportsmanship, harmony, skill, and brilliance in Panache’19.



HR Conclave 2019- ‘Inclusive Leadership: Creating Employee-Centric Organisation’ on March 2nd, 2019 at SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY, Udaipur | March 02, 2019


SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY, Udaipur in association with National Human Resource Development Network (NHRDN) and JK Cement Ltd. organized an HR Conclave 2019 - Inclusive Leadership: Creating Employee-Centric Organisation on Saturday, March 2nd, 2019. The Conclave aimed to address the new age leadership challenges. It brought together business and HR leaders from across the country who shared their ideas, experiences and also discussed the innovations and best practices adopted by the industry veterans. The Conclave comprised of two technical sessions and concluded with the 2nd YP Singhania HR Excellence Award. The YP Singhania Excellence Award is given for the outstanding contribution towards organizational excellence by constantly innovating, evolving and improving the people strategy. Mr. Raghavpat Singhania, Special Executive, JK. Cement Ltd gave away the 2nd YP Singhania HR Excellence Award HR 2019 to Mr. Yogi Sriram, Senior Vice President Corporate Human Resources & Member of the Executive Committee, Larsen & Toubro Limited. Mr. Ashok Ghosh, President, SPSU delivered the inaugural address. The keynote address was given by Mr. Vijay Rai, President - Delhi & NCR Chapter, NHRDN. The vote of thanks was extended by Mr. Andleeb Jain, President & Chief People Officer, JK Cement Ltd. HR Executives from JK Cement Ltd, Ernst & Young LLP, India, SBI Foundation, Cheil India (Samsung), Moody’s Corporation (India Region), IBM Talent Management Solutions, GENPACT, Quatro Global Services, and Interglobe Enterprises were the eminent speakers for various sessions.



8th Exchange Programme between Chiba University of Commerce and SPSU concluded successfully | February 23, 2019


Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur hosted a group of students from Chiba University of Commerce, accompanied by Mr. Kazumasa Shima, Faculty, International Center, CUC Japan, from February 9th - 23th, 2019. The International Exchange Programme aimed at providing a greater understanding of the global market place and the ability to appreciate different cultures. The customized curriculum focused at providing the students with a meaningful overseas experience. The visit was followed by industrial training in Marketing, Human Resource and Finance at JK Cement Corporate Office, New Delhi.



70th Republic Day Celebration at Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur | January 26, 2019


The 70th Republic Day was celebrated with great zeal and patriotic fervor at SPSU. The flag was hoisted by Professor Sushil J. Lalwani, Dean School of Management. Dr. Lalwani in his speech highlighted the importance of adhering to the Fundamental Duties enshrined in the Indian Constitution which came into existence in 1950.The students of the University delivered patriotic speech, recited poems and performed on patriotic songs. The celebration filled the young minds with an enthusiasm to serve the Nation and contribute towards the academic, economic and technological growth of the Nation.



SPSU’s Representation at Austria for the European Union funded project-RAINBOW | January 25, 2019


The Kick-off meeting for Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE), European Union funded project- RAINBOW (Realizing Aspirations, Interests and Brilliance of Young Women) was held from January 23-25th, 2019 at Graz, Austria. The project consortium consists of six partners as FH Joanneum (Austria), Incoma (Spain), University of Jyvaskyla (Finland), BIMTECH, SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY, Udaipur, Rajasthan & NIRMA (India). Dr. Shweta Lalwani, Assistant Professor, School of Management from SPSU represented the University at Austria. The meeting covered discussions on Project management and gender mainstreaming practices at Graz. The meeting was hosted by FH Joanneum University of Applied Sciences, Graz.
