Research Paper of SPSU accepted for publication in the Journal of Chemical Physics (JCP) | January 16, 2019

A research paper by Dr. Prithvi Singh (Department of Physics) titled “Low energy electron and positron impact differential cross sections for the ionization of water molecules in the coplanar and perpendicular kinematics” has been accepted in the Journal of Chemical Physics (JCP). The Journal of Chemical Physics is one of the most prestigious journals of the American Institute of Physics (AIP) with H index- 300. The accepted paper is the result of collaborative research between SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY Udaipur and Missouri University of Science and Technology, Rolla, USA and Bordeaux University, France.

Faculty Development Programme in Management and Research at SPSU (Jan 14-21, 2019) | January 14, 2019

The School of Management, SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY, Udaipur conducted a Faculty Development Programme in Management and Research from January 14-21, 2019. The FDP was inaugurated by Prof. J. P. Sharma, Vice-Chancellor, MLSU, Udaipur. Experts and academicians from renowned institutions across the country took various sessions on emerging areas of research in this FDP. Discussions, Consultation & Presentations were also a part of the FDP. Research scholars and faculty members across the state participated in the programme and the FDP gave an in-depth knowledge on research in various functional areas of management along with hands on experience on statistical software SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences).

SPSU celebrates Makar Sankranti with Kite Flying and Rangoli Making Competitions | January 14, 2019

On the occasion of Makar Sankranti SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY, Udaipur organized Kite Painting, Flying and Rangoli Making competitions. Makar Sankranti is celebrated pan India as the harvest festival and marks the arrival of spring. Kites of various colours, shapes and sizes overwhelmed the serene blue sky. The students flew their colorful kites in the beautiful surroundings, running and ducking in an attempt to keep their kites airborne for as long as possible. Highlighting the importance of colours in our life Rangoli competition witnessed an array of beautiful designs made by the students. Several other competitions were also organized to encourage the sportsmanship of the students. The meritorious students participating in the five-day residential camp INSPIRE held at the University too joined the celebration.

Distinguished Scientists at SPSU for the DST INSPIRE Internship Science Camp (14-18 Jan’19) | January 14, 2019

SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY, Udaipur is organizing Department of Science and Technology (DST) sponsored INSPIRE (Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research) Internship Science Camp from 14-18 January 2019. The University has been successfully organizing this camp since 2015 for Top1% Class XI Science students and contributed to the DST’s mission of nurturing and promoting research and innovation in Science & Technology. SPSU Convocation 2018 | December 18, 2018

Convocation 2018 of the Sir Padampat Singhania University, (SPSU) Udaipur was held on Sunday, 16th December 2018 at the University Campus. Professor Don H. Madison, Curators Distinguished Professor of Physics, Missouri University of Science and Technology, Rolla, Missouri, USA was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The Convocation 2018 was presided by the President of Sir Padampat Singhania University, Mr. Ashok Ghosh. The Graduating students were awarded Bachelors, Masters and PhD degrees from the two Schools – the School of Engineering and the School of Management. Divyansh Sharma of the Bachelor’s degree programme in Mechanical Engineering was awarded the Chairperson’s Gold Medal for having secured the highest marks in all examinations conducted by the university in that year. The President’s Gold Medal for securing the highest marks in their respective disciplines was awarded to Rajendra Kumar Phulwari for Master of Computer Applications, Deepak Agarwal for Civil engineering, Aroun Amitabh Dalawat for Computer Science and Engineering, Divyansh Sharma for Mechanical Engineering and Taha Hussain Aziz for Bachelor of Business Administration.
