Pride'17 (23-27 Oct) - Student Driven Annual Extravaganza of SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY, Udaipur | October 27, 2017
Energetic Sports Meet, Scintillating dances, Enriching workshops and the rocking band performances created a mystic aura during the Pride Week (23-27 October 2017) at SPSU. Pride'17 focused on facilitating and enhancing networking skills to help the students get better at man-management and speaking skills. Orion's- The Fresher's Meet - marked the beginning of the cultural events. Mr. Prateek Reddy and Ms. Himadri Sharma won the titles of Mr. and Ms. Fresher respectively. Talent hunt, Impulse: The Dance Competition, Open Mic, Fashion Show and Quiz were some of the highlights of the mega festival. Penetrating drum beats, captivating bass lines and the melodious strings of guitar in the band performances were enjoyed by all. Seminar on Automation and Applications of IoT in Manufacturing: Challenges and Opportunities (26 Oct'17) and HR Conclave (27 Oct'17) was also held during this fest. Students and delegates across the country participated in this well-rounded event.
HR Conclave - Transforming HR: Becoming a Strategic Business Partner at SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY, Udaipur | October 27, 2017
The School of Management, SPSU in association with National Human Resource Development Network (NHRDN) and JK Cement Ltd organized an HR Conclave. The conclave brought together HR leaders and academicians who shared their ideas, experiences and also provided an excellent opportunity to showcase the innovations and best practices adopted by the industry veterans. Mr. Ashok Ghosh, President, SPSU welcomed the august gathering. Mr. Raghavpat Singhania, Special Executive, JK. Cement Ltd announced HR Leadership Awards and YP Singhania HR Excellence Award and felicitated the awardees. The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Vijay Rai, President - Delhi & NCR Chapter, NHRDN. HR Executives from JK Cement Ltd, HZL (Vedanta Group), Oberoi Hotels, ValeurHR, Amazon, Hitachi India Pvt. Ltd, Thermax Ltd, Samsung Electronics, Secure Meters and academicians from Mohan Lal Sukhadia University, Udaipur were the eminent speakers for various sessions. Two Technical sessions on Role of HR a strategic partner and HR as a Change Agent followed by a panel discussion on Positioning HR- 'The Crystal Ball' provided practical insights in developing the framework for implementation of HR as a strategic partner.

A Seminar on Automation and Applications of IoT (Internet of Things) in Manufacturing: Challenges and Opportunities was conducted on 26 October'2017 at SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY, Udaipur. The seminar focused on bringing together the experts from industry and academia to share their ideas and experiences of technological transformation in production processes, product design and manufacturing due to technological advancements in industrial automation and application of IoT in the industries worldwide. Mr. Madhavkrishna Singhania, Special Executive, JK Cement Ltd delivered the inaugural address. The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Himanshu Goyal India Sales and Alliance Leader, IBM. Eminent speakers like Dr. Jitendra Singh, Chief Information Officer, JK Cement, Mr. Ramesh Vabangiri, Manager, Secure Meters, Dr. Amit Telesara, Director, Pyrotech Electronics, Mr. Mrityunjoy Mahato, Associate Manager, Vedanta and many others illumined the audience with their knowledge and experience. The seminar provided a platform to the technological advancements and brought to light the new avenues in the field of automation using the applications of IoT.
Chiba University of Commerce, Japan Fall Programme 2017 at SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY, Udaipur | October 9, 2017
An orientation programme was organized by School of Management, SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY, Udaipur on Monday, 9th October 2017 to welcome a group of four students from Chiba University of Commerce, Japan along with Prof. Watanabe, Vice-Dean, Faculty of Global Studies. The Japanese students will stay for a period of two months for a cultural immersion programme and develop an insight towards the Indian culture, economy and history. They will also participate in industrial visits and projects on contemporary issues. The SPSU President, Mr. Ashok Ghosh and Vice President, Ms. Rinu Ghosh conveyed their best wishes to the participating students.
