Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's 121st Birth Anniversary celebrated at SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY, Udaipur | January 23, 2018

Patriot of Patriots, Subhash Chandra Bose a national icon and charismatic leader, who gave the slogan 'Jai Hind' was paid a tribute at SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY on his 121st birth anniversary (Jan 23, 2018). The nationalist leader was fondly known as Netaji or leader after his contribution in establishing and leading the Indian National Army during the course of the Indian freedom struggle. Through a number of activities as skit, speech, presentations etc., the University commemorated the day and brought to light the reminiscences of Bose's struggle. The students, faculty, administrative staff of the University and the students from different schools across the state attending the DST INSPIRE Science Camp organized in the University participated in the celebration with elan and pride.

Prof., University of Delhi, Prof. R. B. Bapat, Indian Statistical Institute, New Delhi, Dr. G.S. Sodhi, Professor, Chemistry and Forensic Science, Khalsa College, New Delhi, Prof. N.K. Lohiya, Emeritus Medical Scientist & President - ISSRF, Centre for Advanced Studies, University of Rajasthan, Dr. M. S. Sisodia, J.N. Vyas University, Jodhpur, Prof. Rajmal Jain, Hon. Scientist, PRL, Ahmedabad will deliver lectures and interact with the students during the DST Inspire Camp held at the University.
INSPIRE (Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research) Internship Science Camp is a program of Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India to promote research and innovation in Engineering and Medicine. The eligibility criteria to participate in this camp is 99.6% (CGPA A1) or above (in CBSE) or 83.1% or above (in BSE, Rajasthan) in class X examination.
The students participating in this five day residential camp will have an excellent opportunity to interact with the best scientific leaders of this country. Motivating lectures by renowned academicians, open discussions, laboratory sessions, group discussions, scientific documentaries and inspirational talks organised in the camp aims to bring together students of high intellectual calibre into an environment of understanding nuances of nation-building research.

Kite Show organized at SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY, Udaipur | January 14, 2018

A Kite Show was organized in the cricket ground of SPSU to celebrate Makar Sankranti, (14 January, 2018) the festival that marks the arrival of the harvest season and end of winter. Kites of different colours and shapes soared high and took to the clear blue sky. The students flew their colorful kites in the beautiful surroundings, running and ducking in an attempt to keep their kites airborne for as long as possible. Several other games were also organized in which the sportsmen spirit of the participants was commendable. The students, faculty and residents of the University rejoiced in the event with great fanfare.

Workshop on Financial Education for Young Investors at SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY, Udaipur | January 04, 2018

A workshop on Financial Education for Young Investors was organized by The School of Management, Sir Padampat Singhania University, on 4th January 2018. Dr. Rajeev Babel from Security and Exchange Board of India enlightened the session by explaining the mechanism of saving and investment in the present context. He proposed equation of saving and expenditure along with the rule of 72 concepts. He also outlined various long term and short term financial instruments in order to make money more worthwhile. Brief summaries of working and valuation of mutual funds, debt, equity and insurance explicated in a simpler manner made the session lively and interactive.

Celebration of National Unity Day at SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY, Udaipur | October 31, 2017

The NSS cell of SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY, UDAIPUR celebrated National Unity Day to commemorate the 142 birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on October 31, 2017. A number of activities were organized in the event. The celebration started with a speech competition in which the students highlighted the freedom struggle and his contributions for the National unity of the country. A documentary on the 'Iron Man Sardar Vallab Bhai Patel' was shown to the students which was followed by a quiz competition. The event concluded with the NSS volunteers taking a pledge on National Unity. The celebration promoted national integration and was attended by faculty members and students of the University.
