Inauguration of Firing Range, NCC at Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur | May 10, 2019
A combined annual training camp for NCC cadets, boys, and girls, from various districts of Rajasthan, is being conducted at Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur (SPSU) from May 10-19, 2019. The camp is organized by 10 RAJ BN NCC, Udaipur. During the camp, a Firing Range was inaugurated by Mrs. Rinu Ghosh, Vice President, SPSU on May 14, 2019, in the SPSU Campus. The Camp Commandant Col. Sudhakar Tyagi, Deputy Commandant Col. Hamal, Camp Adjutant Lt. (Dr.) D S Chouhan and Associate NCC Officers were also present. The inaugural ceremony was attended by the Vice Chancellor, Deans, Registrar, faculty and staff members of the university and the participating NCC Cadets. Training would be imparted to the cadets on .22 mm rifle with a range of 25 meters. Mrs. Ghosh while addressing the cadets stressed the role of discipline in leading a successful life and urged them to contribute to nation building.
SPSU won the First Prize at an Inter-College Startup Boot Camp held on Feb 13-15, 2019 | February 13, 2019
Twenty-one students from SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY, Udaipur participated in the boot camp organized by the Startup Oasis, Jaipur at Udaipur from February 13-15 2019. The camp, in collaboration with RIICO and IIM Ahmedabad's Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE), aimed at promoting innovative ideas of the young minds. Students from across Rajasthan participated in this mega event. Three days of rigorous training focused at inculcation and nurturing of various business startup ideas. Students came up with different innovative ideas as Bottlelight, Safe for Sure, Graphene-based particulate arrestor, etc. The SPSU group with the idea of Bottlelight that focused on the utilization of solar energy bagged the First Prize in the Competition. Sumanth Inuganti, Sharon K Vaheniki and Prathana Das are the proud members of the group.
SPSU’s B.Tech Programme in Railways and Transportation Engineering offers Paid Internship at Hitachi Rail Systems Ltd., Japan | March 11, 2019
The B.Tech Programme in Railways and Transportation Engineering at SPSU is a unique branch of engineering about Rail Transportation in India. It has a collaboration with Hitachi Rail Systems Ltd., Japan wherein selected students of Rail Transportation and Engineering undergo a paid internship programme for eight weeks at Hitachi Rail Systems Ltd., Japan. Railways and Transportation Engineering is a discipline that deals with the design, construction and operation of railway systems. The course provides enormous career opportunities in Railways and its associates as well as in large number of ancillary industries in the public and private sector.
SPSU Alumnus Pragyan Ameta launches teaser of MERI KAHANI at the Alma-mater on February 1, 2019 | February 01, 2019
Singer Pragyan Ameta, SPSU Alumnus launched the teaser for his new song ‘MERI KAHANI’ at Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur on Feberuary 1, 2019. The song will be launched on Zee Music and YouTube channel shortly. Pragyan shot the video of the song in the SPSU premises. He has been the contestant of the famous show ‘Indian Idol 6’ and won laurels for his singing talent at various platforms. The teaser of ‘MERI KAHANI’ was launched by Mr. Ashok Ghosh, President and Trustee, JK Cement Ltd. and Ms. Rinu Ghosh, Vice President, of the University. The director Mr. Subhastou Daksh Pandey, along with the whole team of ‘MERI KAHANI’ attended the launch. Pragyan thanked the University and the President and Vice President for being his mentors and motivating him in pursuing his dreams. The students, faculty and administrative staff of the University attended and applauded the event.

Panache’19 - the student-driven Annual Sports-Cultural Extravaganza of SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY, Udaipur was held from February 28 - March 2, 2019. The festival provided a platform to the students to tap their potential and showcase their talent. Energetic Sports Meet, Vibrant Cultural Evenings, Fun and Food Stalls and Rocking Band Performances were the highlights of Panache’19. The HR Conclave 2019- Inclusive Leadership: Creating Employee-Centric Organisation in association with National Human Resource Development Network (NHRDN) and JK Cement Ltd was organized in the University campus on Saturday, March 2, 2019. It brought together business and HR leaders from across the country who shared their ideas, experiences and also discussed the innovations and best practices adopted by the industry veterans. SPSU alumni and celebrity Bhavit Rathore and Pragyaan Ameta - participant of ‘Indian Idol 6’ - who has recently launched the teaser of his music album ‘Meri Kahani’ in association with ZEE music at the University campus, enthralled the audience with their footing tapping numbers. The students put on a spectacular display of sportsmanship, harmony, skill, and brilliance in Panache’19.
