SPSU conducted a Workshop on IPR with special reference to patents | January 15, 2020


SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY, Udaipur conducted a workshop on Intellectual Property Rights with special reference to patents on Wednesday, Jan 15 2020. The speaker was Mr. AbhishekChoudhury, Director - CoCreate Consulting Private Limited, Director – Nanobiz India Private limited, Vice President (Industrial Relations) – Indo Japan Business Council.He briefed about Indian and International scenario of Intellectual property system, the Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trademarks, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion. He also explained the process of filing the Patent application, Copyright application, Trademark application, Design application and the Scheme for Facilitating Start-ups Intellectual Property Protection. The informative session was attended by the students and faculty members of the University.

A workshop on ‘Medical Disaster - Prevention of diabesity, hypertension and heart disease- the silent killers’ by Dr. D.C. Sharma was conducted at SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY, Udaipur on January 8, 2020. Dr. Sharma is a Senior Consulting Endocrinologist at the Institute of Diabetes, Thyroid, and Hormones, Udaipur. With relevant cases and examples, Dr. Sharma created awareness about diabetes, hypertension, and heart-attacks. He suggested maintaining a healthy lifestyle and coping up with these diseases by making some modifications in our lifestyle, periodic-checkups, and timely treatments. The students and faculty members of the University participated actively in an informative and interactive session.



Eminent Scientists at SPSU for the Sixth DST INSPIRE Internship Science Camp | November 28, 2019


SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY, Udaipur is organizing the Department of Science and Technology (DST) sponsored INSPIRE (Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research) Internship Science Camp from 25-29 November 2019. The University has been successfully organizing this camp since 2015 for Top1% Class XI Science students and contributed to the DST’s mission of nurturing and promoting research and innovation in Science & Technology. The eligibility criteria to participate in this camp is 95% or above (in CBSE) or 83.1% or above (in RBSE) in class X examination. Govt. specified eminent scientists across the country as Dr. Anju Jain, University of Delhi, Dr. Ranjita Pandey, Delhi University, Prof. Ahmed Shakeel, National Geophysical Institute of Research, Prof. Anupam Bhatnagar, Professor and Head, Department of Mining, CTAE, Udaipur, Dr. Ashok Ambastha, Scientist and Former Senior Professor, Udaipur Solar Observatory, Dr. N. K. Tyagi, Ph.D. FINAE, NAAS,FISAE,FISCAR, Chairman Academic Council, IDC Foundation, New Delhi, Dr. Anand Prakash Singh, Central University of Rajasthan, Prof. N.K Lohiya, Centre of Advanced Studies, Rajasthan University Jaipur, Dr. M. S. Sisodia, Department of Geology, J.N. Vyas University, Jodhpur and Professor Amar Kumar, Department of Botany, University of Delhi will deliver lectures and interact with the young aspirants. The ignited young minds participating in this five-day residential camp will be exposed to thought-provoking lectures, open discussions, hands-on lab sessions, scientific documentaries, inspirational talks, and group activities. The camp will also focus on honing interpersonal and community skills by facilitating interactions with peers with similar abilities and interests.

The Mining Engineer's Association of India, Rajasthan Chapter celebrated the Indian Mining Day on November 1, 2019. An essay competition on the topic “Mining for Better Tomorrow” was organized by the association in which undergraduate and postgraduate students across the state participated. Ishan Choudhary, B.tech, Final year from SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY, Udaipur won the third position and was acclaimed by the Mining Engineer’s Association of India, Rajasthan Chapter. The program was organized at Nimbahera, Chittorgarh. Shri. S K Rathore, Unit Head, and President Operations, J K Cement Works, Nimbahera presided over the event and gave away the prizes.
