9th International Summer Exchange Programme at Chiba University of Commerce, Japan | July 06, 2019


SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY, UDAIPUR announces 9th International Summer Exchange Programme (8th- 22nd July 2019) at Chiba University of Commerce, Japan. 20 Universities across the globe shall be participating in the programme. From India, SPSU is the only one to participate in this International Summer Exchange Programme.

The International Student Exchange Programme aims at improving language skills, boost confidence and develop a global perspective on various worldly matters. Besides the academic pursuit, the students will also visit industries like Haneda Chronogate, Yamato Transport Co. Ltd, JFE Steel Corporation. They will be exposed to Japanese cultural practices and visit Life Safety Learning Center, Sumida Hokusai Museum and I Square.

The SPSU students Srishti Parashar, Divya Mulchandani, Himadri Sharma, Vinita Gupta, and Rajveer Singh along with a Faculty Chaperone Dr. Manish Dadhich will participate in the programme.



International Yoga Day Celebration at SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY, Udaipur, Rajasthan | June 21, 2019


The International Day of Yoga was celebrated at SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY, Udaipur. The International Day of Yoga is celebrated every year on June 21 to raise global awareness about the benefits of the ancient Indian practice. Professor Sushil J Lalwani, Dean, School of Management, highlighted the importance of Yoga and stressed on regular practice of yoga to achieve a better life, physically, mentally and spiritually.


A hands-on yoga session was taken by Yog Guru Mr. Dipesh Vats and team. He explained the significance of each asana its effect on mind, body and soul. The SPSU family participated enthusiastically in the session.



SPSU’s Representation at University of Jyväskylä for the European Union funded project-RAINBOW | May 31, 2019


The second project meeting for Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE), European Union funded project- RAINBOW (Realizing Aspirations, Interests, and Brilliance of Young Women) was held from May 27-29, 2019 at University of Jyvaskyla, Finland. The project consortium consists of six partners as FH Joanneum (Austria), Incoma (Spain), University of Jyvaskyla (Finland), BIMTECH, SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY, Udaipur, Rajasthan & NIRMA (India). Dr. Shweta Lalwani and Dr. Shubham Goswami, Assistant Professor, School of Management from SPSU represented the University at Finland. The meeting covered discussions by roundtable on Gender Mainstreaming, preparation of training material for Counselors and Project financial management issues. The meeting was hosted by Jyvaskyla School of Business and Economics, University of Jyväskylä, Finland.



Inauguration of Firing Range, NCC at Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur | May 10, 2019


A combined annual training camp for NCC cadets, boys, and girls, from various districts of Rajasthan, is being conducted at Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur (SPSU) from May 10-19, 2019. The camp is organized by 10 RAJ BN NCC, Udaipur. During the camp, a Firing Range was inaugurated by Mrs. Rinu Ghosh, Vice President, SPSU on May 14, 2019, in the SPSU Campus. The Camp Commandant Col. Sudhakar Tyagi, Deputy Commandant Col. Hamal, Camp Adjutant Lt. (Dr.) D S Chouhan and Associate NCC Officers were also present. The inaugural ceremony was attended by the Vice Chancellor, Deans, Registrar, faculty and staff members of the university and the participating NCC Cadets. Training would be imparted to the cadets on .22 mm rifle with a range of 25 meters. Mrs. Ghosh while addressing the cadets stressed the role of discipline in leading a successful life and urged them to contribute to nation building.



SPSU won the First Prize at an Inter-College Startup Boot Camp held on Feb 13-15, 2019 | February 13, 2019


Twenty-one students from SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY, Udaipur participated in the boot camp organized by the Startup Oasis, Jaipur at Udaipur from February 13-15 2019. The camp, in collaboration with RIICO and IIM Ahmedabad's Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE), aimed at promoting innovative ideas of the young minds. Students from across Rajasthan participated in this mega event. Three days of rigorous training focused at inculcation and nurturing of various business startup ideas. Students came up with different innovative ideas as Bottlelight, Safe for Sure, Graphene-based particulate arrestor, etc. The SPSU group with the idea of Bottlelight that focused on the utilization of solar energy bagged the First Prize in the Competition. Sumanth Inuganti, Sharon K Vaheniki and Prathana Das are the proud members of the group.
