Course Description:

Computer applications are transforming every aspect of our lives. Digitization and computerization has made the complicated industrial, scientific and technological operations and their related problems easy to solve. Computerization in offices, banks, business establishments, shops, and factories, etc. has proved a great boon in terms of Computer Applications industry in India. The spurt in the use of these miracle machines in various places, like railways, airlines, banks, defense services, business organisations, offices, research establishments, postal and communication departments is breathtaking. Moreover, the government is rigorously encouraging digitization so that the country can compete effectively with world players and contribute generously to the growth and development of the national wealth and well-being. The computer industry, both software and hardware, has a very bright future and provides excellent opportunities for fresh graduates to be professionally employed.

Programme Objectives :

•To inculcate system design and development skills into the students
•To provide understanding of various software development techniques and methodologies
•To provide necessary expertise for pursuing higher education/research in specialized domains like Project Management, Data Mining, MIS, etc.

Eligibility:

•Bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized university (preferably above 50%) and must have studied mathematics as compulsory or optional subject either at 10+2 or graduation level

Selection Criteria:

i) Pass in any recognised Bachelors degree with mathematics. (Preferably above 50%)
ii) Admission to all SPSU Programmes will be through the Admission Test - SPSAT’17
