The applications scenario is far reaching, right from consumer electronics to industrial control & automation. The discipline integrates knowledge based on Analog & Digital Electronics, Communication, Microwave, Power Electronics, Antenna Design, Microprocessor & Microcontroller, Embedded Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Very large Scale Integrated Circuits (VLSI), Instrumentation & Control Systems. Electronics has improved productivity in industries like oil, energy, agriculture, infrastructure & many other important sectors of economy. The Electronics sector in India is growing & there exists a huge demand for skilled manpower in this sector.

Eligibility – Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or equivalent/ M.Sc. in Electronics or Physics as a regular student from recognized University.

PhD Degree Courses in Electronics and Communication Engineering ( Doctoral Degree Programme)

SPSU offers all its academic programmes in the Semester System with Choice Based Credit System. All Ph.D. scholars are required to complete a course work involving both Major and Minor disciplines before taking up full-fledged research. The course work is designed to enhance the scholar’s capability to match the proposed research work under each discipline.

  • Post-graduate degree (preferably in the discipline concerned) from a recognized university with 55% marks
