Course Description:Electronics & Communication Engineering is one of the largest and most sophisticated branches of engineering. Its application is so wide that it affects our daily lives in various ways. Electronics has not only made our life easier but enjoyable too. It has provided us the equipment like Television, Radio, Computers, Telephones and Mobile Phones etc. The technology of electronics and communication helps us to see, hear and communicate over vast distances and do things faster. Electronics has a major role in improving productivity in industries like oil, energy, agriculture, infrastructure and so many other important sectors of economy.
Well-equipped laboratories like Electrical and Analog Electronics Lab, Microwave, Power Electronics and Antenna Lab, Microprocessor and Microcontroller Lab, Digital Singnal Processing (DSP) and Very large Scale Integrated Circuits (VLSI) Lab, Digital Electronics & Communication Lab, Instrumentation lab and Project lab provides learning through software and hardware platforms.
The broad areas of research and academic activities in the department are: Linear and Non-linear Circuits, Analog and Digital Electronics, Smart sensors and intelligent processing, VLSI design and fabrication, Digital Signal Processing techniques, Embedded systems and WSN, Thick film/MOS gas sensors, Analog and Digital Communication, RF and Microwave Engineering, Antenna and Wave Propagation, Mobile Communication and Optical fiber Communication.

Residential: All Bachelore Degree Programmes are compulsorily resisdential
Eligibility for Admission:
- Pass in 10+2 science or its equivalent examination from a recognised board (Preferably above 60%)
- Admission to all SPSU Programmes will be through SPSAT’17.
