Department of Electronics and Information Technology in India has stated that the government aims to create a USD 15 billion for Internet of Things by 2020. The share of the country in global IoT industry is expected to be 5-6%. According to an estimate from Gartner, Internet of Things will expand to include 26 billion units by 2020 and this excludes PCs, tablets and smartphones. The number is 30 times greater than what it was in 2009.
