Chemical engineering is a multidisciplinary subject that essentially deals with the development of manufacturing process that converts raw materials and chemicals into useful valuable products. It also deals with designing of instruments and facilities which are efficient, eco-friendly and cost-effective. Development of safety measures for those working with hazardous chemicals and health and safety standards for protecting the environment are also covered under chemical engineering. Chemical engineering also works with fields such as nanotechnology and bioengineering. Concepts of physics, mathematics and economics are also an integral part of the curriculum to help design the equipment and scale up the products from lab to industrial scale manufacturing. The department offers B. Tech degree programme with an integrated approach. The course curriculum focuses on the fundamentals of basic sciences together with industrial manufacturing processes and scientific advances.

All Bachelore Degree Programmes are compulsorily residential
Eligibility for Admission:
Pass in 10+2 science or its equivalent examination from a recognised board (Preferably above 60%).
Admission to all SPSU Programmes will be through SPSAT’18
