Bachelor of Science Courses

To cater the students’ interest in fundamental sciences, the University offers Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree programme in two streams: PCM (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics) & BCZ (Botany, Chemistry & Zoology). The course structure of B.Sc. programme is designed as per the UGC’s recent Choice Based Credit System (CBCS). The students may pursue higher studies in any of the three disciplines (opted by them for B.Sc.) depending on their interests. Apart from the regular courses, the syllabus also contains Skills Enhancement Elective courses to help the graduates gain meaningful employment. The curriculum is contemporary & fully in sync with the syllabi of various competitive exams: JAM (Joint Admission test for M.Sc.) & various PG Entrance Exams of leading universities in India.
The university offers the following subject combinations in B.Sc. Programme:

  • B.Sc. (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics)

  • B.Sc. (Botany, Chemistry & Zoology)

Programme Objectives
  • To develop a comprehensive understanding of all core disciplines in science & motivate the students to pursue higher studies & research

  • To develop a strong ability to apply acquired fundamental knowledge in science to explore & understand various scientific issues

  • To enhance the employability opportunities through skills enhancement elective courses

  • Pass in 10+2 in Science from a recognised board

  • For B.Sc. (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics) student should have Mathematics as an optional subject in 10+2 Science

  • For B.Sc. (Botany, Chemistry & Zoology) student should have Biology as an optional subject in 10+2 Science
