Being associated with SPSU is a matter of pride for me. The strength of our university is our qualified and experienced faculty who is always ready to help in both, academic and non-academic matters. One can talk to or seek guidance from any faculty irrespective of the school you belong to and any time. Technical trainings, projects and workshops organised at the university helped us be abreast with the latest in our chosen field of study. Being a member of the core team of Panache and Project Endeavour I got a chance to meet and interact with several dignitaries and people from academia and industry. It widened my canvas of experience as I learned to manage resources, people and crisis. I am thankful to our President Sir and Vice President Madam for their constant support and mentorship.
College life is that one phase of life where we grasp the most for our career, our growth and our well-being. Sir Padampat Singhania University gave me the opportunity to challenge myself, shed my inhibitions and in turn, I was able to focus myself towards positive outcomes. Not only did the professors give me all the guidance possible but personally helped me a lot to take strong decisions for my future. The hostel life and rigorous schedule at the university prepared me to face the difficult situations in the corporate sector. I would like to thank everyone at my university for shaping my personality. It is rightly said "You will miss your college life once you are out of it." I wish the best to the new batches! Keep Learning, Keep Growing!
Beginnings are always special! And I was fortunate to share it with Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur. As a part of the Class of Electronics and Communication, I got to learn from extremely dedicated and qualified academicians. Along with the curriculum, I had an opportunity to be associated with various activity clubs and start one of my own. The four years that I spent in the campus of SPSU not only helped me hone my skills as an engineer but also develop people skills. And the ecosystem was nothing but an encouragement. The vocational trainings and workshops aimed at employability gave me an edge in the fairly competitive market. It was an amazing journey. Today, thanks to my Alma mater, I am working in semiconductor domain with IBM.
When I got admission in B.Tech Biotechnology at Sir Padampat Singhania University I had no clue of the university and the life there as mine was the first batch of the university. I was very apprehensive initially but my fears were unfounded and SPSU became my second home. The faculty members of my department are experts in their respective fields and gave us excellent technical knowledge. This, coupled with the excellent laboratory infrastructure ensured that we got the best and latest technical knowledge. What sets Sir Padampat Singhania University apart is the emotional bond which the faculty shares with the students. By God's grace and the technical knowledge gained during my B.Tech I am a Junior Environmental Engineer, Rajasthan Pollution Control Board, Jaipur.
I think my time at SPSU was pretty crucial in making me what I am today. For me and most of my batch mates, it was the first time we were on our own, away from the comfort of home, trying to figure out how the world works. It helps you to adopt better if you have a nurturing environment around you - like the one we found at SPSU. SPSU has collaborated with several universities all across the world and frequently conducts student exchange programs. I was fortunate enough to be a part of one such program and ended up doing my final year project at Alabama State University in USA. For 6 months, I worked on a project backed by the National Science Foundation (NSF). The experience of working with some of the brightest scientific minds from around the world was just surreal. My four years here kind of breezed through, and I ended up making a lot of lovely memories. From academics to sports to extra curriculars, I took keen interest in everything and found ample support in whatever I wanted to do. The fact that I am currently working in a field that has little to do with my actual degree would tell how seeking new opportunities and challenges was always fostered here. The campus life was so much fun too. The premises were huge and I found most of the facilities I could ask for. The faculty members were well-read, experienced, and always went that extra mile to help students. If someone would ask me to relive the college life again, I would do that without any hesitation. That's how special this place was for me.
SPSU is a home away from home. Right from basketball court to canteen and auditorium to hostels, bright colourful smiling faces can be seen everywhere. Students in groups and in two, playing and discussing thoughts and plans. I was one of them. We used to sit near the mess with our group of 8, chit chatting all evening and enjoying our days of college. I wonder sometimes, how difficult life would have been for those who did not get a chance to study in colleges like SPSU where each and every facility is provided to you. The hostels, mess, labs, classrooms, canteen and the campus, everything is so clean and properly maintained. We had facility to work in labs even after college hours, we were allowed to sit in the library and study till 9 in the evening and even extra help from faculties after classes were entertained by the college staff. A huge range of extra co-curricular activities were designed in SPSU to engage students and help them show their talent. Clubs and activities include cultural clubs, sports clubs, entrepreneurship club, software coding club and many more in different domains. Every club and event was driven by students. Usually in colleges the students aren't given the independence to share and discuss their problems with the management but here in SPSU we were given chance to speak directly even to the top management and sort out the issues. Proper teams with student and faculty members are assigned so as to discuss the problems related to everything in and around the campus. Mess team, hostel representatives, and concern team is also responsible to take care of each and every activity happening in daily routine in the campus. The most important part of the university which I liked was freedom to initiate things and give ideas regarding all e.g. conducting workshops, seminars, cultural and sports events, projects, etc. Students are most welcome to give their ideas and help in the betterment of the university processes and atmosphere. I would say I had a wonderful experience spending my 4 years at SPSU. It was worth learning and growing here.
