Valedictory function of National Conference on  ICT Theory and practices was held on 6th March’10.

Prof. P. C. Deka, Vice Chancellor of the University revealed the importance of Information and Communication Technology in a GLOBALIZED world. He also emphasized that such academic ventures will extend benefits to the young researchers and academic community at large.

Prof. Rajkamal, former Vice Chancellor, DAVV Indore, highlighted super scalar processor hardware and multi thread techniques in improving the processor speed.

The Organizing secretary Shri Deepak Gaur expressed his gratitude to University President Shri Ashok Ghosh, Vice President Rinu Ghosh and Vice Chancellor Prof P.C. Deka for providing opportunity and support for organizing this conference. He also thanked members of Organizing Committee, delegates who came from all parts of country and the CSIR for financial assistance.

The conference concluded with number of technical sessions which were mainly devoted to discussion on computer organization and architecture, wireless technology, computer network, communication Engineering & information security, Knowledge discovery and data management, ICT tools and techniques, internet and web engineering.

Prof Rajkamal, Prof Kuntal Patel, Prof Venkat P.P.K from BARC, Mumbai , Dr.Niranjan Prasad from DRDO Hyderabad, Prof P.R. Venkatesvaran from Manipal, Dr. K. Venugopalan from MLSU, Prof K.K. Sud (SPSU) and Dr. M.K. Jain were among the prominent speakers.

The Brain storming session resulted in a number of new areas of research in the field of ICT.
