Independence 70 Celebration at Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur
The 70th Independence Day was celebrated with great fervor at SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY, Udaipur. The celebration began with the Flag and candle march to commemorate the sacrifice of the martyrs. The students of the University displayed their patriotic feeling towards the Nation through various cultural programmes and speech. The Pro Vice Chancellor Professor Achintya Choudhary addressed the gathering. In his speech he emphasized the importance of work and further added that we should remember the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and do our duties sincerely so as to produce good citizens and contribute in Nation building. It does not make sense to lament on what we couldn’t do; the best is to remember what we can do now with the existing resources and potential.
Professor Choudhary applauded the achievement of Dipa Karmakar, the young gymnast who comes from a very humble background and a remote place where there was a dearth of training facility yet she could make her way to the Olympic Finals just because of her sheer will power and determination. He motivated the audience to work with absolute dedication and sincerity to achieve their goals.
The faculty, administrative staff and students of the University participated enthusiastically in the celebration of Independence 70.
