Yes, The University was established by an Act of the State Government of Rajasthan and is recognized by UGC vide Notification No.: F.9-8/2009(CPP-1) dated 13 April 2009. The University is recognized u/s 2f of the UGC Act 1956. The University is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) which is granted only to Universities recognised by the UGC.

What is the admission procedure?

All admissions to SPSU are through the SPSU entrance examinations SPSAT. The candidates are required to qualify in the admission test SPSAT to be conducted separately for different courses.
Candidates have to fill their Admission Application Form online at the SPSU website by paying Rs. 1175. After the registration, candidates have to take the SPSAT within ten days. Candidates will be informed whether they have cleared SPSAT. After clearing SPSAT, candidates may come to the University and take admission.

What is SPSAT?

Sir Padampat Singhania Admission Test (SPSAT) is the entrance examination for admission to the various programmes in Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur. Applicants are required to book their examination slots through as per the given schedule. The online test is available only to those eligible applicants who have submitted their application form. A confirmation mail will be sent to the email address after the applicant has booked his/her schedule through the Online Application Form. An applicant is allowed to take a second attempt if they are not satisfied with their performance in the first test. There is no negative marking. Please refer to the university website for details.

We believe that every student has got a unique level of understanding and a customized approach is needed. To accomplish this, a mix of techniques are used viz. Case study discussions, role plays, presentations, lectures, tutorial sessions, projects and simulation exercises etc.

Can a non-Indian citizen take admission to this University?

Yes. The process is the same for admission of all students, whether Indian or foreigner, who meet the qualifying criteria as prescribed by Association of All Indian Universities (AIU) and UGC.

SPSU follows the highest level of academic integrity. There is no Management quota or NRI quota. SPSU has no differential fee structure, all students at SPSU pay the same fees both Indian and foreign students.

SPSU, however, offers special scholarships for merit and for needy students.

Internships are part of the programme curriculum. SPSU offers 100%internships to all its students. Some of our partner companies are: Hindustan Zinc, J K Technosoft, HAL, ONGC, BHEL, L & T Construction, TCS, J K Cement, DMRC, HDFC Bank, Coca Cola, CPWD (NHAI), Tata Motors, Indian Railways, and Grasim Industries. Some students are offered paid internships.

SPSU follows a robust teaching learning pedagogy, Most of the students (99%) admitted to SPSU graduate within the normal duration of their respective programmes.

Does the University give international opportunity?

The university has academic collaborations with several universities/ institutions worldwide, viz., Chiba University of Commerce, Japan, Association of International Accountants, UK, University of Nebraska, Omaha, USA, Management Center of Innsbruck, Austria and Mendel University, Czech Republic.

Does the University provide scholarships?

SPSU offers three-tier merit scholarships: 100% tuition fees waiver; 90% tuition fess waiver and 70% tuition fees waiver depending upon the performance of the student in his academics. In addition, the University also offers Scholarships for economically challenged students.

Can a student pay his/her fees in instalments?

Yes, the fee is required to be paid in two instalments during each academic year, i.e. at the beginning of the semester.

Am I guaranteed accommodation if I am admitted?

Yes, if admitted to a residential programme, your hostel accommodation is guaranteed.

How will I be accommodated?

All student rooms on campus are on sharing basis. The facilities for bath and toilets are shared. All bathrooms have hot and cold water. The entire campus including student residences have clean drinking water (reverse osmosis plant).

Are the hostel rooms furnished?

Yes, each student is provided with a bed, study table, chair, and a wardrobe.

Is it possible to access the internet from my hostel room?

Yes. You can access the Internet from each hostel room. The campus is Wi-Fi with 325 Mbps internet connectivity.

Are students allowed to bring guests to the campus?

Yes, however, it would be limited to specific hours and specified permissions. Nonetheless, we would encourage you to invite your parents to visit you as often as you feel like. We also do not want children to be disturbed during college hours.

How arethe mess / cafeteria of the University?

On campus, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is provided. Everyone (students, management, faculty and staff) on campus have the same food. Students have to give their preference for Vegetarian or Non-Vegetarian food. The menu is decided by the Student Mess Committee. In addition, there is a Food court catering to different tastes as well.

Do I have to stay on Campus?

All under-graduate programmes are residential. All post-graduate and doctoral programmes are optional residential.

How safe is the campus?

The Campus is extremely safe and is guarded by one of the best security guarding agencies in the country. Also, being a residential campus most of the faculty and staff stay on the campus creating a large family environment.

What is the mode of communication to the campus?

The campus is located on the existing 4 lane National Highway No.76. There are regular bus services from the city to the university and beyond. The University bus goes at fixed timings to and from the city.

Does the University have uniforms?

No, there will be no uniforms. However, students will be expected to dress decently according to an educational institution.

What if I willfully provide wrong information?

The UGC guidelines provide that relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code will apply, relating to willfully filling wrong declaration, etc.
