Yes, The University was established by an Act of the State Government of Rajasthan and is recognized by UGC vide Notification No.: F.9-8/2009(CPP-1) dated 13 April 2009. The University is recognized u/s 2f of the UGC Act 1956. The University is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) which is granted only to Universities recognised by the UGC.
Merit is our only selection criteria. All admissions are through the SPSU entrance examinations SPSAT.
Sir Padampat Singhania Admission Test (SPSAT) is the entrance examination for admission to the various programmes in Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur. Applicants are required to book their examination slots through www.spsu.ac.in as per the given schedule. The online test is available only to those eligible applicants who have submitted their application form. A confirmation mail will be sent to the email address after the applicant has booked his/her schedule through the Online Application Form. An applicant is allowed to take a second attempt if they are not satisfied with their performance in the first test. There is no negative marking. Please refer to the university website for details.

Yes, provided you meet the selection/admission criteria of the collaborating University. The duration of the study abroad programme varies from two weeks to one full semester.

Yes, the fee is required to be paid in two instalments during each academic year, i.e. at the beginning of the semester.
Fees may be paid through:
- Any branch of HDFC Bank
- Demand draft favouring “Sir Padampat Singhania University” payable at Udaipur
At the time of admission, fees will have to be paid at the University.
Thereafter, for all other semesters, fees will have to be paid by challan on HDFC Bank.
Yes, if admitted to a residential programme, your hostel accommodation is guaranteed.
All student rooms on campus are on sharing basis. The facilities for bath and toilets are shared. All bathrooms have hot and cold water. The entire campus including student residences have clean drinking water (reverse osmosis plant).
Yes, each student is provided with a bed, study table, chair, and a wardrobe.
Yes. You can access the Internet from each hostel room. The campus is Wi-Fi with 325 Mbps internet connectivity.
On campus, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is provided. Everyone (students, management, faculty and staff) on campus have the same food. You will have to give your preference for Vegetarian or Non-Vegetarian food. The menu is decided by the Student Mess Committee.
All under-graduate programmes are residential. All post-graduate and doctoral programmes are optional residential.
SPSU is planned as a fully residential campus. Besides academic, soft skill development and other such related skills, like language training, would necessitate staying on campus. Besides, hostel life inculcates several team building characteristics.
Yes, SPSU has a resident doctor on campus. There is an infirmary where first aid facility is available round the clock. Besides, the University has tie ups with renowned hospitals in Udaipur. Ambulance facility is also available 24/7.

Yes, however, it would be limited to specific hours and specified permissions. Nonetheless, we would encourage you to invite your parents to visit you as often as you feel like. We also do not want children to be disturbed during college hours.
The Campus is extremely safe and is guarded by one of the best security guarding agencies in the country. Also, being a residential campus most of the faculty and staff stay on the campus creating a large family environment.
The campus is located on the existing 4 lane National Highway No.76. There are regular bus services from the city to the university and beyond. The University bus goes at fixed timings to and from the city.
No, there will be no uniforms. However, you will be expected to dress decently according to an educational institution.
Services which include utilities like ATM, hair dressing, laundry, emergency medical, cafeteria etc. are on campus.
The UGC guidelines provide that relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code will apply, relating to wilfully filling wrong declaration etc.
