Area of Specialization: Molecular Genetics and Plant Tissue Culture.

Research Interest: Transgenics in rice and pulses, application of molecular markers for crop improvement, micro-propagation of horticultural and ornamental plants, utilization of soma-clonel variants for crop improvement, genetic variability within and between commercially important plants species/genus.

Research Project: Completed 10 (ten) research projects on various aspects of Biotechnology sponsored by different National and International Organizations.

Technology Developed: Developed several biotechnological related protocols for solving problems in Agriculture, Horticulture, Floriculture and Sericulture.
