Placements 2010-11 Training and Placements are an integral part of the degree programmes (B.Tech & MBA) at SPSU. The University places very high importance on the student’s employability and thus has a Training and Placement Cell in place which networks with the Industry on a regular basis. The cell has successfully forged ties with the some of the reputed companies in various sectors from Telecommunications, IT-Software, Retailing, Manufacturing, Consulting and FMCG to Non-Banking financial services and the Indian Army. The cell also organizes personality development programmes, workshops and Interview skills for students. This is done in association with some of the leading HR professionals in the country. The placement process for the 1st batch of graduating students have been completed. In the School of Engineering, the batch of 88 students of the class of 2007-11, 76 students have been placed while 12 students opted out of the placement process for either higher studies or to join their own respective businesses. In the School of Management, the batch of 36 students of the class of 2009-11, 35 students have been placed and 1 student opted out of placement process to join own family business. Two students have got International Placements. They have been appointed by a Swedish organisation and will be based out of Gothenborg, Sweden.

The Placement office is equipped to handle and support the placement process at every stage. Arrangements for pre-placement talks, group discussions and interviews are organised by the placement office and student volunteers. Facilities to aid the placement and training process include:Â Illustratively, there are air-conditioned furnished rooms for interviews and group discussions, computerised offices with Wi-Fi connectivity and reprographic aids, auditoriums close to the office to conduct pre-placement talks and tests and student volunteers to assist on the day of visit and through the selection process.
