Curriculum and Evaluation Methodology

The Curriculum
SPSU curriculum factors in a 6 to 8 week industrial project or training at the end of sixth semester for its B Tech students and at the end of the second semester for its MBA students. Such projects are envisaged to give students an insight into real time problems faced whilst working for the corporate sector. At SPSU students undertake real life projects from companies and work under the direct supervision of the respective company's technical persons with assistance from our own faculty. Industrial visits are organised to show the students the current industrial practices prevalent in companies.
SPSU has academic arrangements with several multinational companies who have industry accredited offerings. These programmes, though not part of our regular curriculum, is brought to selected students in addition to their usual BTech degree. Some of the industry accredited programmes are in conjunction with IBM, Oracle, SunMicrosystems and PTC. Students also undertake internships, projects and accreditation programmes of their own volition.
